Scholarships ofstra is a remarkably important part of whatever success that I have achieved since graduating. This a great honor for me and my partner, my great love, James ’74 and Diane. We are deeply Diane ’73 Quinn grateful to Hofstra. For this reason we have today established a scholarship fund to assist other worthy students and return a small measure of the good fortune that we have experienced.” This excerpt is from a speech given by James Quinn ’74, vice chairman of Tiffany & Co., receiving the 2001 Hofstra University Award for Alumni Achievement. He and his wife, Diane ’73, announced the establishment of the Diane and James Quinn Endowed Scholarship, made possible by their generous five-year pledge of $325,000 to Hofstra University.
