HOFSTRA CAN! 2002 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR The Hofstra CAN! (Career Assistance Network) program has enjoyed tremendous success in connecting alumni with graduating Hofstra students. They share advice and experience that will guide our students and help to shape their futures. Our 2002 Volunteer of the Year consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty and leaves a lasting impression on each and every student he meets.

FALL 2002 JOB AND INTERNSHIP FAIR If your organization would like to participate in the Fall 2002 Job and Internship Fair, where organizations can recruit for full-time positions, internships and parttime opportunities, please call Jennifer Ruggiero, Assistant Director of The Career Center, at (516) 463-6342, or e-mail her at jennifer.ruggiero@hofstra.edu. The Fair is scheduled for September 25.

What’s on the calendar for fall 2002? Hofstra CAN! volunteers are encouraged to participate in The Career Center’s Career Week 2002 September 21-27.

September 21 – Hofstra CAN! kicks off Career Week 2002 with its Second Annual Tailgate Party. Join us for lunch at Alumni House followed by a Hofstra football game! September 23 – Become a member of the first “Hofstra Success Stories” panel. Submit a brief career history and explain why you would like to participate. Those who are selected will be asked to speak about their successes during Career Week 2002. September 24 – Help students refine their resume writing skills during “Resumania”. Watch your mail for details regarding our Student/Alumni Networking Night!
