Join us for a talk in the gallery with Veronica Lippencott, PhD., Adjunct Associate Professor of Global Studies and Geography and Director of the Africana Studies Program at Hofstra University. Professor Lippencott provides contextual information about the background and environment of West Africa/Mali, broadening our understanding and appreciation of the works of art in the exhibition Art of the Dogon. This event is made possible with the support of the Hofstra Cultural Center in collaboration with The Alice Sawyer Award.
