The Center for Entrepreneurship at Hofstra University Connecting our campus to Long Island’s entrepreneurial ecosystem The new Center for Entrepreneurship is a multidisciplinary initiative to support entrepreneurs on campus; nurture the region’s innovation economy; increase students’ opportunities for first-hand entrepreneurial experiences; and connect the Hofstra community to start-up companies, successful entrepreneurs and seasoned investors. The center is building a culture of entrepreneurship with programs including the $50,000 Hofstra-CPXi Venture Challenge student business plan competition, a team of Entrepreneurs-in-Residence to mentor student entrepreneurs, an expansion of the University’s entrepreneurship curriculum, an accelerator program to incubate and advise startup companies on campus, and the launch of the ideaHUb, Hofstra’s first campus incubator.
