Hofstra MFA in Creative Writing Program Highlights: • Students choose from concentrations in fiction, poetry, playwriting, and creative nonfiction, with the option to do course work in more than one genre.

• Award-winning, published faculty are devoted to nurturing talent and fostering a writing community.

• Writing seminars and small classes allow students to develop close relationships with their professors and enjoy inspirational, participatory classroom experiences.

• Hofstra’s ongoing “Great Writers, Great Readings” Series brings nationally and internationally renowned writers to campus.

MFA Open House Location: 246 East Library Wing is located on the second floor of the Axinn Library, the only 10-story building located on the south side of Hofstra’s campus.

Directions:

Take Meadowbrook Parkway to exit M4 West (Nassau Coliseum/Hempstead Turnpike).

Continue west on Hempstead Turnpike for 1.5 miles. At the third traffic light, turn right to enter the North Campus. At second STOP sign, bear left and park. Walk into the Mack Student Center and continue straight ahead. Cross over pedestrian bridge (Unispan) to the base of the Axinn Library. Entrance is on the right. Take the elevator to the second floor.
