Mindfulness Meditation Group
This group is appropriate for students who are having difficulty transitioning from familiar supports at home or forming connections with others and wish to improve the quality of their relationships. Tuesday at 4 p.m.
This group focuses on building the connectivity of mind, body and emotion through meditation. Learn ways to relax and manage stress, anxiety and other emotions by staying in the present moment. Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Recovery Group
Eating Disorders in Recovery Group
Learn techniques to build and maintain motivation; cope with urges; manage thoughts, feelings and behaviors; and live a balanced life through recovery from substance use. This group provides support to individuals in recovery from addictions. Wednesday at 7 p.m.
This group is limited to students currently in recovery from an eating disorder. Interested students should phone Dr. Merry McVeyNoble at 516-463-6791 to discuss eligibility for the group.
All groups meet at Student Counseling Services, located in the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center on South Campus (across the street from the Netherlands Complex).
