‘Up South’ The Great Migration in Sound & Movement The Department of Music in conjunction with the Department of Drama and Dance and the Hofstra Cultural Center present a concert commemorating the great migration of African-Americans over the first half of the 20th century. The program features acclaimed professional musicians, the Hofstra Chamber Singers and Jazz Ensemble, Hofstra student actors and dancers, and invited choral ensembles from Hempstead High School and Uniondale High School.

Sunday, February 9, 2014, 5 p.m. John Cranford Adams Playhouse, South Campus $10 general; $8 senior and matriculated non-Hofstra student with ID; Students under 18 receive one free ticket. $5 group rate (15+) For tickets and information, contact the John Cranford Adams Playhouse Box Office at 516-463-6644.
