I.

GENERAL POLICIES E. ABSENCE POLICY 1. Members who acquire an absence shall receive penalties weighted according to the meeting missed (absences expire at the end of each semester): h. Failure of a Committee Chair to submit a mid-year semester or monthly report end of semester report: one (1) absence to said Chair III. CLUB RESOURCES A. OFFICE SPACE PROCEDURES 3. Office Space Review Application: e. The Club Resources Chair shall monitor all transitions between office space moves.

C. CLUB LEADER TRAINING 1. The Club Resources Chair shall call a Club Leadership Training at least once each academic year.

E. STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION RECOGNITION 1. An active club may seek Student Government Association Recognition if it abides by the following guidelines: Follows a constitution having been approved by the Club Resources Committee and Senate that contains the Student Government Association’s most current preamble.

Attends a Student Government Association Club Resources Committee meeting to review the club constitution.

Following approval of the club constitution by the Club Resources Committee, the club or organization must attend a Senate meeting to seek recognition.

Maintains a membership with no more than half being members of a currently banned or suspended Hofstra club or organization.

Maintains an updated and approved GetInvolved HU profile.

X. ELECTION RULES B. ELECTION OF PRESIDENCY AND VICE PRESIDENCY 1. Any full-time undergraduate student in good standing with the university is eligible to run for the office of President and Vice President.

F. CAMPAIGNING 1. The start of campaigning shall begin at a time and date determined by the Elections

Commission and approved by a majority of the Senate.

2. There shall be no campaigning at any of Hofstra University’s computer labs or academic areas such as but not limited to classrooms, laboratories, libraries, etc.

3. There shall be no campaigning in the Student Government Association office or during any Student Government Association activity.

4. Publicity: a. No individual or endorsing group shall publicize prior to the start of campaigning. b. Flyers shall not be hung in off-campus business establishments. c. All mediums of campaigning shall be in good taste and shall not libel or slander another candidate, nor destroy any campaign materials of another ticket. d. All flyers shall be approved by the Office of Student Leadership and Engagement, whom who shall keep a file of all approved flyers to which the Elections Commission may refer.

Peak/pit of your non-operational week (or this week in general) :) Tiktok for Communications Updates from Joe Barkwill: A. A request was made for cloth masks for residential students -- the University has an inventory of cloth masks available for students. Joe can provide us with 1,000 and proposed that SGA distributes them to students. I will consult Cabinet in regards to distribution.

1. If anyone has any ideas/comments on distribution, please leave them here: 2. Notes from cab: Build a friend?; give them to RAs; outlets in the pride Den; get a mask after surveillance testing; how can we send them to out of state students?

B. Joe consulted the ITS team to improve wifi service in the Pride Den. They have detected the interference (a lot of technical things that is probably best not to mention in detail haha), and have successfully improved the speed of the internet.

1. If you hear of any students that are still struggling with connection in the Pride Den, please let me know!

C. Renovations for the BLAC lounge are essentially complete. They will start to renovate the club offices shortly.

D. Hours of operation were re-posted at each dining location. Joe also asked for the hours to be posted online for student reference.

E. Tents are coming back 3/22.
