Scholarship Procures

onroe County Ambulance Association presented checks totaling $8,000 to four Monroe County EMTs paving their way to PA-State Paramedic Certification during the September 28 meeting.

Two Pocono Mountain Regional EMS professionals, Aleksey Dmitriev and Robert Conde both attending Luzerne County Community College, each received $2,000 under MCAA’s Dr. Peter Favini, M.D. Scholarship. As did West End Ambulance EMTs, Ariel Catalano joining the LCCC course and Bennett Heyman attending Emergency Medicine Institute in Allentown.

Created as, “A way to encourage EMTs to further their education and add to available medics” the caveat for consideration comes with the commitment to complete two years of work as a medic in the association’s area.
