Meet Mary A North Carolina native, Mary was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. As the daughter of an Episcopal priest, she values the deep connections she has built over the years through church, school, business, and community involvement. Raleigh became home when she attended North Carolina State University, and for the past 35 years, she has embraced the city’s evolution while raising a family and building a thriving career.

For 25 years, Mary was a successful business owner in Raleigh, leading a private pediatric speech therapy practice. She worked closely with children with special needs, many of whom faced behavioral challenges and homelessness, strengthening her ability to communicate, advocate, and problem-solve in complex situations.

Her passion for helping others has been the foundation of every chapter of her career.
