WA’S ELITE ELITE
The Perth Thundersticks are Western Australia’s premier hockey franchise, bringing together the state’s best male and female athletes to compete in the national Hockey One League.
As Australia’s elite hockey competition, Hockey One is recognised for its commitment to genuine gender equality, delivering equal playing conditions, media coverage, broadcast exposure and scheduling across both competitions. The Thundersticks feature some of the country’s most exciting talent, with players progressing to represent Australia on the world stage with the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras at Olympic Games, World Cups and FIH Pro League. Based at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University, the Thundersticks host teams from across Australia and compete in a nationally broadcast competition. With matches streamed live and free on 7plus, the team provides partners with powerful opportunities to align with sporting excellence and connect with audiences across Western Australia and beyond.

50% TO THUNDERSTICKS PROGRAM To help support the team and program operations, including flights, accommodation, staff, wellbeing and administration.
25% TO INDIVIDUAL PLAYER To support them during their Perth Thundersticks campaign.
25% TO PLAYER POOL To be evenly spread across all players of the team, to support them during their Perth Thundersticks campaign.
SHARED SUCCESS
As part of the Perth Thundersticks Player Partnerships Program, a player-supported revenue share model has been established to ensure sponsorship investment benefits the entire squad. With hockey remaining an amateur sport, athletes continue to compete at the national level without receiving match payments. This initiative provides meaningful financial support while reinforcing the values of teamwork and collective success. Under the model, 25% of every individual player partnership contribution is directed into a central pool, which is then shared equally among all squad members, regardless of games played. This approach ensures every player benefits from the support of our partners and strengthens the culture that drives the Perth Thundersticks on and off the field. 1. 25% allocation from single player sponsorship is put into a revenue share pool for their squad - i.e. men‘s player sponsorship allocated to men‘s squad only 2. This player revenue share pool is evenly spread across the entire squad
