Smoking Polisy We have revised our onboard smoking policy, effective for all sailings departing on or after January l, 2014. Under this new policy, all indoor public spaces will be smoke free. Additionally, smoking will not be permitted in the staterooms or on stateroom balconies. PIease observe the non-smoking areas and refrain from smoking pipes or cigars in any of the public areas. A violation of this policy will result in a $250 fee

onboard. Smoking areas are available on outer decks, starboard side, on Decks 5, (pool area), 12 (near Skybar) and 13 (behind Starquest).

Medical experts tell us that the best way to prevent colds, flu, or gastrointestinal illnesses (such as a Norovirus that can be transferred easily through person-to'person contact) is to simply wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water after restroom break and again before eating anything. Symptoms of Noroviruses include an upset stomach, vomiting and diarrhea. According to the United States Cente6 for Disease Control and Prevention and Public Health Agencies around the world, Noroviruses affect millions on land each year. ln fact, the only illness that is more prevalent is the common cold. Should you experience any gastrointestinal illness, you must visit the ship's medical facility for a complimentary consultation and treatment, if necessary.

Captain Espen Been is from Oslo, Norway and

Paul first found his sea legs at the age of 18,

started his career with the company Petro

when he worked as an Assistant Purser onboard a small cruise ship sailing between South East

Trans Skaugen, sailing aboard tankers carrying

the world's largest crude oil from the Gulf of Mexico. Captain Espen joined Royal Caribbean

lnternational in 1996 onboard Sovereign of the Seas as First Officer - subsequently he was assigned to the Splendour of the Seas, where he earned a promotion as Chief Officer. ln 1999 he was sent to Turku in Finland to form part of the team building the Voyager of the Seas, where he remained for five years, first as Chief Officer and later he became Staff Captain. Captain Espen then transferred from the company's largest to smallest vessel for the renovation of the Empress of the Seas, where he remained for two years sailing the Caribbean, frequently passing his favorite island of Bermuda. Captain Espen was so successful on board the Voyager of the Seas, that he was asked again to form part of the 2006 new build planning team. ln 2007 Captain Espen returned to Finland to join the construction team of the Liberty of the Seas. As Master of the Radiance of the Seas, Captain Espen wishes you fair winds and following seas for an unforgettable cruise vacation.

Asia and Australia. After completing his first contract, Paul's career was set. He studied for a hotel management degree at university in the UK, and after graduating with honors, he returned to sea. Paul spent the next l0 years traversing the globe working as the ship's Chief Purser onboard world class ships. After getting married in 2002, Paul settled down for a life on land, and managed hotels for international brands in London and the south east of England. Paul was delighted to have been offered the opportunity to return to sea with Royal Caribbean lnternational in the summer ot2017, and is very proud to oversee the friendly, passionate, and committed hotel team here onboard the Radiance of fhe Seas. While being born in London and growing up in Essex, Paul now enjoys village life with his wife and two daughters just outside Cambridge in England.

CHIEF ENGINEER

Chief Engineer Tomasz was born in northern Poland in Szczecin city near by the Baltic Sea where the maritime industry and shipyards are located. As a young man he showed interest in many technical fields such as engineering development and experimental projects etc. His technical passion helped him in choosing his future profession. He then decided to go to technical school and there after to the Maritime University for Engineering. After graduation he started his career at sea by working mainly on tankers and cargo ships. Sailing on ships around the world gave him a unique opportunity to visit many beautiful and exotic places which was an outstanding experience. ln2OO2 he decided.to make a change in his life and joined Royal Caribbean where he is currently serving. Over the years he has worked on several Royal Caribbean lnternational ships, started with the beautiful Majestyof theSeas. Presently Tomasz is pleased to be the Chief Engineer on the beautiful Radiance of fhe Seas. On behalf of entire technical team Tomasz welcomes you on board and wishes you wonderful eruise vacation.

Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation. He lives in Alaska in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter. Chef Viktor has worked in resorts and hotels across the world. His greatest love is teaching and developing the future young culinarians of tomorrow. He takes the approach of from "little acorns oak trees grow." Food is Viktor's life and his motto is a quote from Samuel Clemens that says "lf your vocation is your vacation, you will never work a day in your life. Chef Viktor welcomes everyone onboard and hopes that you have the cruise vacation of a lifetime!

RADIANCE OF THE SEAS WELLINGTON HAS A PLEASANT SURPRISE AT EVERY TURN Visitors have often likened Wellington to San Francisco for its many hills, cables cars and narrow streets lined with Victorian homes. Just like its California twin, New Zealand's capital boasts a harbor so beautiful, it belongs in the movies. And speaking of film, Wellington's success at the box office has led to worldwide acclaim; Lord of the Rings' director Peter Jackson still calls Wellington home. The shuttle trip takes approximately 15 minutes each way, with 2 stops, North end of Lambton Quay (outside the Old Government Buildings, across from the Beehive) and Wakefield Street. The first shuttle bus will be on arrival and the last shuttle bus from Wellington will be at 7:00 pm. Busses will operate continuously throughout the day approximately every 10-15 minutes. The town is named after Sir Thomas Picton, the Welsh military

associate of the Duke of Wellington, who was killed at the Battle of Waterloo. The famous author Katherine Mansfield spent time in Picton where her grandparents, Arthur and Mary Beauchamp, and her father Harold, lived for some time when they came from Australia. She included a reference to the port in her short story "The Voyage," which is "an account of a trip to Picton from Wellington on the Cook Strait ferry".

All food items should be left onboard or disposed of in the quarantine bins located at the gangway. Guests will be subject to inspection by the Australian Ouarantine Officer stationed at the gangway.
