Frank left the company to earn his formal training as a Deck Officer in the Norwegian Merchant Marine Academy, returning in 1991 as a 2nd Officer. Frank obtained his Master Mariner license in 1995, and was promoted to the position of Staff Captain in 1997. ln 1999 Captain Martinsen went to Turku, the Finland shipyard where he was part of the building team for the Explorer of the Seas. Captain Martinsen has served as Master on the M,/S Empress of fhe Seas, Majesty of fhe Seas, Serenade of fhe Seag Voyager of fhe SeaS Explorer of fhe Seas and Liberty of fhe Seas. JEROME SUEUR CRUISE DIRECTOR Jerome was born in a little village called Chevreuse in France but grew up in the lovely island of Tenerife in the Canary lslands, Spain. After studying in an English school he moved to Madrid and then London to continue his studies which set him up to work in the entertainment industry. He worked in many hotels over the years travelling around Spain and its islands before pursuing his passion and becoming a snake charmer. Jerome joined Royal Caribbean in April 2011 as a Cruise Director's Staff onboard the Adventure of the Seas. After also working on the Brilliance of the Seas, lndependence of the Seas, Majesty of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas and Allure of the Seas he is now proud to be your Cruise Director here onboard. Alistair grew up in United Kingdom's beautiful Yorkshire Dales and although originally trained as a biochemist, he quickly realized his true passion was for the hospitality industry. This change of career led him to work as chef and then manager of some the finest restaurants and boutique hotels in the United Kingdom. He also opened a restaurant in London's fashionable Soho district and a brewery company in Suffolk before deciding to follow in his father's footsteps and come to sea. Since 1998, Alistair has worked for a number of cruise lines and has traveled from Antarctica to the high Arctic, from two thousand miles up the Amazon to exotic corners of the Far East and enjoys every minute of life at sea, providing service of the highest standard. He is very proud to be your Hotel Director onboard the Navigator of the Seas and wishes you a very enjoyable cruise vacation.
WITOLD JAGIELLOWIGZ CHIEF ENGINEER "Chief Engineer Witold is very happy to welcome all of you onboard the beautiful Navigator of the Seas. He comes all the way from the beautiful city of Kolobrzeg in the Baltic sea, in Poland. After, he graduatecl from Maritime college, he started his career working in several merchant ship and cruise ships before he joined Royal Caribbean in 2OO2. He has been at sea for more than 25 years from his beginning as Motorman on a cargo ship. Now, he is very pleased to be part of the Navigator Family and wishes you the vacation of a lifetime.
ilAURtZtO CURCTO FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR Maurizio was born in Amalfi ltaly. From a young age he started his career with his uncle in the restaurant business. After graduating from Hotel College in 1985 he ventured on to working in numerous fine dining establishments across Europe and England. Maurizio joined Royal Caribbean lnternational in 1988 on the Song of America. Maurizio worked on numerous vessels including Monarch, Song of Norway, Maiesty, Nordic Empress, Voyager and Mariner of fhe Seas. Maurizio now has the pleasure to call the Navigator of the Seas his home and also resides in the beautiful city of Toronto, Canada. He welcomes you on board the beautiful Navigator of fhe Seas and is committed the Food and Beverage department will assist you in making this a vacation of a lifetime.
