Gaining engineering experience on different types of ships (general cargo, ro-ro, reefer and bulk carriers) and broadening his knowledge, he passed the Chief Engineer

examinations and received his Chief Engineer License in 2OO4. Slawomir joined Royal Caribbean lnternational in 2OO1 as a 2nd Engineer on board the MajesA of fhe Seas" when he worked for seven years as 2nd Engineer, lst Engineer and Chief Engineer Junior, He had sailed on Explorer of fhe Seas' as Chief Engineer Junior for couple years as well, before joining Enchantment of fhe Seas' team in 2013. Alcides was born in a small village in the district of Viseu, Portugal, but currently lives in Santa Maria da Feira, a smaller city in the North of Portugal, just by the famous city of Porto and Douro Valley

(Port wine region). Alcides showed his natural talent for mathematics at an early age and dreamed to become an architect, however with the time he developed a fascination for the Hospitality lndustry and in 1982 at young age of 1Z he decided to join the Hotel School. ln 1991 he joined the Cruise lndustry, starting in the Restaurant department, advancing through the different ranks all the way to Hotel Director. Alcides is an accomplished and passionate cruise industry professional with over 24 years of extensive experience. He joined the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in March 2015 but prior to that he has traveled all over the world working for some of the major Cruise Lines. He is now happy and honored to be the Hotel Director on board the Enchantment of the Seas.

Prior to arriving at the gangway please have your proof of citizenship, SeaPass'card and your completed customs declaration in hand. Valid forms of proof of citizenship are:

Guests who have exceeded their exemptions in merchandise, liquor or cigarettes, or are carrying monies in excess of $1O,OOO must present themselves to a United States customs inspector in the terminal building ashore. Completed customs declaration forms will be collected by officials in the terminal building ashore. Upon leaving the ship, all guests will meet with United States Customs & Border Protection inspectors. Due to recent interceptions of live wood boring pest by United States Customs and Border Protection inspectors, it is highly recommended that these items not be imported. lmportation of such may result in seizure. Gratuaties The automatic daily gratuity charged to the onboard SeaPass account is shared among the dining services staff, Stateroom Attendants and other housekeeping services who work to enhance the overall cruise experience. Guests who prepay their gratuities prior to boarding their cruise, will not have a daily automatic gratuity onboard. Many of our guests wish to reward particularly exceptional service during their cruise with additional gratuities. You may do so by increasing the automatic gratuity amount on your SeaPass onboard account at the Guest Services desk or with a cash gratuity at your discretion.
