Due to the high volume of luggage, we will happily deliver luggage until 8:00 pm tonight. If you accidentally packed any prohibited items or your bag was locked please proceed to Deck 2, midship after 4:00 pm to collect your luggage.

For the safety and wellbeing of children, children’s swimming pool personal flotation devices are available free of charge at the pool deck areas. Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are for use onboard the Ovation of the Seas and cannot be taken off the ship.

How to Get Ashore
Due to an unfortunate landslide close to the docking pier in the recent past, the port of Skagway has modified the pier operations to ensure the safety of all visitors. As a result, shuttle busses must be used to transport our guests from the ship to the end of the pier where it will be safe to walk as usual. The shuttles are complementary and must be used to transit along the pier, both ways. The shuttle ride is just a few minutes and there is easy access to walk to downtown or catch a port operated shuttle into town for a small fee.

Tips for an Easy Departure
Here’s how to make your departure experience as seamless as possible. You can also check out channel 7 on your stateroom tele vision for a video overview of this process.
We’ve implemented a more gradual flow for our departure process.
• Staterooms must be fully vacated no later than 8:00 am. After you’ve enjoyed breakfast, please head to your designated departure lounge until your departure number is announced or displayed on the ship’s digital screens.
• All guests have been assigned a specific departure group and time. We’ve done our best to schedule your departure at a convenient time for you. You will be notified of your departure time on channel 2 on your stateroom television until 8:00 am, and wayfinding maps and digital screens throughout the ship. This is where our schedule will be continually updated. We ask you to verify the schedule on the television prior to leaving your stateroom. Yo u can also review your departure information via the Royal Caribbean App for a quick and easy experience.
• To avoid the large crowds and the long wait times, take advantage of our Self -Assist program (see details below) or our airport transfer services. If your flight departs after Noon; Royal Caribbean transfers will be available at the terminal to get you to the airport right on time. Book yours today with Gu est Services by 12pm the day before departure.
Self-Assist Departure
Avoid the wait by keeping all your luggage with you as you depart the ship. Assigned departure times begin at approximately 6:45 am and end at 8:00 am. Note: This option is not available for guests requiring wheelchair assistance, Royal Caribbean airport transfers or shore excursions.
Departure Morning
• Your invoice will be emailed to you at the end of your cruise vacation.
• Don’t forget valuables stored in your stateroom safe and leave the safe door open.
• You are free to depart as soon as the Self-Assist Departure announcement has been made.
Getting Off the Ship
• Tune to channel 2 on your stateroom television for the assigned departure times
• Once the Self-Assist announcement is made or when you receive a notification via the Royal Caribbean App, proceed from your stateroom or departure lounge to the gangway on Deck 5 with all your luggage.
• Taxis are usually readily available outside the terminal.

• If you are not choosing Self-Assist Departure, leave your bags with luggage tags attached outside your door by 10:00 pm. Remember to place the luggage tag on one of your carry-on bags so your departure group is clearly identified.

• If you are taking independent transportation, claim your baggage at the area identified by the number on your luggage tag at the terminal, then proceed to your transportation. Taxis will be readily available.
• If you require wheelchair assistance, please meet at Jamie’s Italian, Deck 5, 30 minutes before your assigned departure time. Wheelchair assistance starts at 8:00 am and you must check your luggage.
How do I close out my tab?
The credit card you provided at check-in will be automatically charged. You can also add additional gratuities to your SeaPass at Guest Services or leave cash.
There will be a $100 hold when you link your credit card to your onboard account. The hold is used to secure funds for anticipated onboard purchases and will be released at the end of the sailing once your final charges are settled.

Specialty Dining reservations can be made through the Royal Caribbean App. You may also dial [7000] on your stateroom phone and select the restaurant you wish to dine in or visit the restaurant and make a reservation with the Maitre d' outside. The Maitre d' can also assist you with making changes to your seating.
If not already pre-paid, a $16.00 gratuity ($18.50 for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise.
