WELCOME NEW MEMBERS

Rules and Guidelines for this area include the Park Pavilion, open field, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and playground.

• Parks and Playground areas are private Club property Members & Accompanied Guests are welcome.

• Parks and Playground areas close at Dark.

• Members are responsible for their child’s safety at all times.

• Adult supervision is required for all children under 12.

• Pets are not permitted in any sand areas. All pets must remain on-leash while on BridgeMill property.

• No bikes, skateboards, skates, etc. permitted under the Pavilion.

• NO scooters, bicycles strollers etc etc permitted on basketball courts.

• Do not use sidewalk chalk underneath the Park Pavilion.

• No food and beverage is allowed on the basketball and volleyball courts except in plastic sports bottles.

• NO baseballs, softballs, bats permitted in the park, playground, pavilion or open field areas.

Our introductory Middle School Fitness program is facilitated by a certified personal trainer and designed to educate our youth on fitness center etiquette, equipment use and proper form on equipment in the CARDIO/WEIGHT ROOM ONLY. This program prepares our youth for future independent training.

Participants will learn: Respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, body awareness and self-confidence. Participants will gain: Muscle, strength, endurance, speed, agility, flexibility and preparation for future independent training.

EXPANDED YOUTH FITNESS PROGRAM Now your elementary or middle school aged child will have the opportunity to join our incredible weekly fitness program four days per week! Plus they can enjoy an additional Kid’s Fitness Nite Out each month beginning in October.

Like adults, kids need regular exercise. Regular exercise encourages healthy growth and development while helping to build stronger muscles, bones, joints and lungs. Besides the many health benefits, fit kid’s sleep better, have higher self-esteem, and are more ready to learn in school.

The Youth Fitness Program is Directed by Holly Williams, who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsbury University. After teaching in the public school system for a few years, her passion for health and fitness led her to pursue a career in fitness.

Holly received her fitness and nutrition certification from Penn Foster Career School and has been personal training and teaching group exercise classes for ten years. She has since been led to follow her fitness passion as the Kid’s Fitness Director and offers classes for both elementary and middle school aged children. She is CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association.

Holly has a passion for creating fun fitness classes to encourage kids to be active and experience the rewarding benefits of fitness. Both the elementary and middle school classes will help kids improve their strength, and cardiovascular fitness with ageappropriate activities while providing a safe and fun environment for them to exercise with their peers.

KID'S FITNESS NITE OUT September 17 | 5:30pm to 8:00pm at the Fitness Center with Ms. Holly This is a great night out for kids and opportunity for a parent’s night out too!! Play dodgeball, relay races, tag, obstacle courses and other fun fitness activities with Ms. Holly. Healthy snacks and plenty of age- appropriate fitness and nutrition information. Tue 10:30am This full body conditioning class combines the fundamental principles of both Barre and Pilates. CIRCUIT TRAINING

Tue 12:00pm with Mark Hutton in the Cardio/Weight Room. This 30 minute full body workout is performed in a circuit format that moves from cardiovascular machines to weight machines. It is designed for all fitness levels to tone muscles and increase meta-bolic function for more calories burned over a longer period of time.

EXCEL FUTURE STARS DEVELOPMENT GROUPS 4-6 years – This group is for our youngest juniors with little or no tennis experience. Our goal in the program is to help children learn and enjoy the game of tennis while improving their overall athletic skills. We focus on basic motor skills like throwing, catching, running, and jumping but also learn fundamental racket skills.

4-5 years – Tuesday – 4:30-5:15 pm 5-7 years – Tuesday – 5:15-6:00 pm 7-10 years - These classes are for juniors with little or no tennis experience. We focus on developing athletic skills, fundamental strokes and learning how to play points and keep score.

Tuesday – 6:00-7:00 pm Check with the Tennis Pro Shop for class schedule, fees, and available space.

EXCEL ACADEMY The Academy group is for players with some tennis experience to advanced players, ages & up, who are committed to improving their game. We also include 11–16-year-old beginner players in this group.

This high energy group of players is striving to play tournaments, high school tennis or working to get a college scholarship. The Head Coach of the academy is Jennifer Pourchier who is also the Head Coach for the Reinhardt University tennis teams. One unique benefit of this is that Academy players often get to hit and train with the college players! Players are divided by ability level and age. Drills focus on proper stroke technique, footwork, fitness, strategy, and mental toughness. The group meets Monday and/or Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 pm. This program runs throughout the school year but new players can be added anytime if space available.

BRIDGEMILL SIXES SERVICE LEAGUE The Bridgemill Sixes Service League (BSSL) provided 250 hygiene bags.

This year we participated at two locations, First Baptist of Canton, and Hillside United Methodist Church in Woodstock. Our Give a Kid a Chance, Co-chairs Lynn Weimer and Lee Evans led our volunteers to another successful year.

The BridgeMill Sixes Service League or BSSL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to provide community outreach assistance by organizing various events and programs to raise money or provide needed materials and/ or services to those less fortunate in our local community.

Our motto is “Together We Can Make a Difference.”

The focus of the BridgeMill-Sixes Service League is community outreach, but we balance our work and play by offering participation in various social groups and day excursions. Our social groups attract a diverse group of women. From those in their twenties, to moms immersed in raising children, empty nesters, and seniors, we all learn from each other’s viewpoints and life experiences.

Our membership includes career women, part-time workers, stay-at-home moms, and retirees. We are truly a cross-section of our local community.

We will begin in-person meetings starting August 19th at 7:00 pm at the Terraces of Bridgemill. The BSSL meets the third Thursday of the month.
