LAKE ARROWHEAD TRIVIA #100 June 15, 2023 – Morris A. Nunes, TriviaMaster

It has been an honor and a wonderful pleasure to serve as Lake Arrowhead’s TriviaMaster, a position in which I am thrilled to be able to continue. So, I was particularly delighted to reach a milestone of presenting Trivia #100 on June 15.

Many thanks to all of Lake Arrowhead and the many participants who have supported this activity and have been generous with their applause and compliments.

Thanks as well to the Highlands Grill staff, led now in front by Caroline Crowson (and previously by Elizabeth Raymond) and in back now by Chef Jason Danneman, for their patience and support over this long period , as well as for special help with spirited decorations, champagne and cake to celebrate the 100th, for which Steve Roe and James Haslam have my thanks for authorizing champagne as an extra touch for all attendees.

So, I am pleased to present the Q&A from the 100th Trivia below. If these questions look familiar, that’s because they are a more or less random selection from the previous 99 Trivias in recognition of reaching this centennial.

N.B. Lake Arrowhead Trivia utilizes a mnemonic with the 1st letter of each of the 25 answers (or phrase 1st substantive word (e.g. title) or last name if a person) in order, spell a message. Figuring out the mnemonic yields no extra credit, but can be a valuable hint for questions that might stump you.
