BridgeMill Men’s Golf Association (MGA) News by Jeff Graham, MGA Board Communications Chair 2020 MGA MASTERS RESULTS

The 2020 MGA Masters is in the books and it was a welcome return of golf and fellowship with 72 MGA players grinding it out for their best score per hole over two days. Some new faces were on the leaderboard along with some of the usual names on top. Congratulations to our Overall Gross and Net Champions – Nick Brown and Bryan Maphet! In the Overall Gross Championship, Nick Brown’s 67 managed a narrow victory over Darryl Fulton’s and Justin Campbell’s pair of 68s. There was NO contest for the Overall Net Championship as Bryan Maphet’s Net 55 from the Senior Member flight lapped his closest overall competitors, Juan Cortes and John Killeen who both shot an impressive Net 62. This is Bryan’s amazing fourth Overall Net Championship … How does he keep doing it? HATS OFF to all the MGA Masters winners below!

Our GGP instructors are here to help players of all skill levels to improve their games and lower their scores. We create an individualized improvement plan to accomplish your golfing goals and personalize your practice routine to accelerate your golfing goal. We offer private instruction as well as group classes.

MEN’S PERFORMANCE GROUP COACHING AT BRIDGEMILL This class is led by Director of Instruction, Bill Murchison. Each month consists of 8 hours of small group coaching and includes drills, technical work, proper practicing habits, 9-hole playing lesson, on-course strategy development and quarterly review of the player’s goals and performance. One hour of private coaching is included. 2020 GGP JUNIOR TOUR

Georgia Golf Performance Junior Tour allows our juniors to learn how to play and compete in tournaments in a safe, family-friendly environment. Each month we host an event at BridgeMill Athletic Club or Towne Lake Hills Golf Club. Juniors compete at yardages based on their age and skill set. All ages are welcome to participate in the tournaments.

2020 RACE TO PLAYER OF THE YEAR

As part of the Junior Tournament series, GGP holds a year-long tournament race for the juniors who participate in our tournaments. Points are accumulated according to their age division, scores and yardage advancement. Winners at the end of the season are celebrated at our end of year banquet in December.
