24-HOUR FITNESS CENTER If you are interested in using the 24 Hour Fitness Program, call 770.345.2990 to have your name put on a list to receive an Access Card. You will be notified about the Rules & Regulations of this Program and we will contact when your Access Card is in. One complimentary card per membership, $20 each additional card.

HOLIDAY HOURS

Members are responsible for their child’s safety at all times.

Adult supervision is required for all children under 12.

Pets are not permitted in any sand areas. All pets must remain on-leash while on BridgeMill property.

No bikes, skateboards, skates, etc. permitted under the Pavilion.

No food and beverage is allowed on the basketball and volleyball courts except in plastic sports bottles.

Baseballs, softballs and bats are not permitted in the park/ playground area, including the open field.

No profanity is allowed.

No running up the slides.

The infant swings are for small children assisted by an adult.

No sitting, walking or standing on the horizontal ladders.

Do not jump out of swings.

Keep small children away from the large children swings.

Do not throw sand.

No sitting or climbing on top of the slide towers.

No hanging on the basketball rims.

Glass is not permitted.

Scooters, bicycles, strollers, skateboards, skates, chairs, vehicles, or similar equipment are not permitted on the basketball courts.

BridgeMill's Park and surrounding areas are smoke-free.

All trash must be disposed of in proper containers.

Pool News! There have been lots of talk about the new red flags on the chairs at the pool this year! Every Saturday and Sunday you shouldn’t have to lift a muscle in order to get a refreshing beverage from the Tiki Hut. Just put up your flag and a server will be right over to get your order. After a busy week we want you to have the full treatment on the weekends. You Deserve it!! *No one under 18 will be served without an adult present!

New stuff happening at the pool for the Kids too! Every day from 12-4 we will be playing some games with any kid that wants to participate. Some examples are noodle races, sharks and minnows, penny toss, and many more! There are PRIZES for the winners!!

SUMMER GREETINGS FROM THE MGA As the temperatures heat up and the rounds start to increase, the “hot topic” of Handicaps comes to the forefront. Per the USGA, the Handicap System is based upon the potential ability of a player rather than the average of his scores. What does that mean for the Average Golfer: 1) You play to your Course Handicap or better only 25% of the time.

2) You average three strokes higher than your Course Handicap 3) Your best score in 20 is only 2 strokes better than your Course Handicap Keep your playing partners honest and make sure we post all of our scores!

TENNIS SUMMER JUNIOR PROGRAM Last sessions for the Summer!! There's nothing better than learning tennis with friends and BridgeMill has just the right program for your child and their buddies.

Our day camps are a great experience for kids 7 & older. Beginners will learn fast and experienced players will be able to improve their skills. We also have one hour sessions for beginners including our youngest players. Dates and sessions are listed below. Please feel free to reply to this email to register or ask questions.

EXCEL SUMMER TENNIS DAY CAMPS AGES 7-17 - ALL LEVELS Juniors will drill, play games and train in a fun atmosphere for 5 hours a day, 4 days in a row.

Campers can’t help but improve their game and they will make new tennis friends. Players also have a chance to cool off in the BridgeMill pool. All levels are welcome. Groups are divided by age and ability. Camp is for ages 7-17. Beginners through advanced players are welcome!

BRIDGEMILL SIXES SERVICE LEAGUE BSSL JULY 2019

It is July in Georgia and it’s hot! We are lucky in BridgeMill to have a fantastic pool to help us cool off as well as a group of ladies to help us relax. Yes! The BridgeMill Sixes Service League (BSSL) is still active in the summer. Though we do not meet in June or July, we are still very busy with events to help us give back to the community.

Friday June 7th was our 7th annual Golf FORE Charity. Dozens of golfers came out to play, eat, and hope for a chance to win some great prizes. Besides golf, we had a silent auction, putting contest and a poker contest.

Wicked Wings was our Title Sponsor and Frank Reynolds, Cherokee County Sheriff, was our Honoree. Winners and photos will be in our August article.

Thursday May 30th was the kickoff for the Summer Lunch Program. Our members, their husbands, children, grandchildren, and neighbors gather to pack 500 lunches every other Thursday which in then distributed throughout the county to children that would possibly go without a meal during the summer. If you are interested in getting involved with this very worthy project, please contact Susan Gaines at 305.510.5411.

Thursday July 11th is our first get together for the Give a Kid a Chance backpack program in Cherokee County.

Our club will meet at the Terraces at Bridgemill to pack bags for the event and then we will help distribute the bags on July 13th. Contact Lynn Weimer at 734.395.0960 for more info on this worthy event.

Relay for Life update: We raised $15,049 for the American Cancer Society. Our Bridgemill Sixes Service League group, led by Nicole Shippy and Samantha Kirkpatrick, were chosen to lead the luminary ceremony. PLUS we won the “Big Top” award for the most money raised AND best costumes. Congratulations to all the ladies that were able to participate in this very worthy event. See the group photo (at left) from our May meeting!
