Kylie and Kinlie Williams Kylie and Kinlie Williams are the Kidfit Spotlight stars this month. It is a pleasure to have both girls in class. They exhibit a positive attitude for fitness and like working out with their friends. Their enthusiasm is contagious to their peers. Kylie enjoys Kidfit classes because she likes to exercise. She also enjoys getting the participation prizes at the end of class for her hard work. Her favorite exercise is pop squats. Kinlie likes Kidfit classes because they are fun and teach her many different exercises. Her favorite exercise is kickbacks (burpees). She also loves doing the obstacle courses and demonstrating them for the class. Both girls are getting “kidfit strong” and learning how much exercise helps to promote a healthy lifestyle. UNVEILING THE POWER OF “WHY” IN YOUR NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS As we embark on a new year, resolutions for health, fitness, and wellness are common, but the key to success lies in discovering your “why”. This intrinsic motivation serves as the driving force behind our goals, providing the resilience needed to overcome challenges. Understand what truly matters to you—whether it’s being present for loved ones, pursuit of passions, or improving overall well-being. SETTING PURPOSEFUL GOALS AND EMBRACING CONSISTENCY Once your “why” is clear, translate it into realistic actionable goals. Break down larger objectives into manageable steps, ensuring steady progress. Embrace a holistic approach to wellness, encompassing physical, mental and emotional aspects. Establish consistent habits aligned with your purpose, creating a foundation for sustainable change.

All the instructors are great!! They want us all to succeed and do well without injury. They teach us about how our bodies work and it’s way more than just working out, they get the best out of us. Come join a class! - Erin K

If you’re looking for a great workout and fun people who support and encourage each other, then come join us at BMAC! The instructors keep us moving and improving with organized and well paced workouts! - Renée C

COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND REFLECTING ON THE JOURNEY Seek support from friends, family, or like-minded groups to enhance accountability and encouragement. Consistently reflect on your journey, celebrating successes and learning from setbacks. Adjust goals if necessary, recognizing that your “why” may evolve. By connecting resolutions to meaningful motivations you pave the way for transformative change that extends beyond the calendar.

LGA N EWS The BridgeMill Ladies Golf Association is proud to announce

KATHY ESPE 2023 Player Of The Year!

We are happy to welcome the 2024 LGA board starting January 1. Sally Peterson and Amy Davidson will join existing members Missie Kisker, Jill Lain and Karyn Haydock in The LGA mission of bringing ladies, with a passion for golf, together through fellowship. We love tournaments, game nights, casual golf and socials! Watch for the new calendar of events, join and participate as much as possible!

LGA members Sally and Amy

Returning LGA board members Missy, Jill, and Karyn

Kathy has been an active member with our group since 2021 and has steadily improved her game. Kathy participates in all tournaments, game nights and casual golf when her work schedule will allow. Say hi and congratulations when you see Kathy behind the desk when you check in at the Pro Shop!

The board is saying goodbye to Robin Roper and Molly Maher and extends a big thank you for your participation in planning fun outings. Helping everyone enjoy our golf events is just a tiny part of what each of these ladies brought to our club.

This past year we have put the spotlight on our LGA members with an introduction and a short bio of the ladies. In January, we are honoring Therese Powers as an angel among us. On Friday, December 1, Therese donated one of her kidneys to an anonymous person. Therese started the testing process two years ago because she had a friend that needed a kidney. Therese was approved to donate, however she was a different blood type so could not be a direct donor to her friend. That led to a possible pair exchange which means waiting for another pair (or pairs of people) to all exchange kidneys for matching blood types. Therese would donate her kidney to someone only if her friend received a kidney matching her blood type. After a year of waiting, Therese found out from her coordinator that since there was another person (universal type O) connected to the same friend, Therese’s kidney most likely would not be used. Therese decided to donate to a stranger. This process will be anonymous unless the recipient wants to know about the donor. The cool part about this process is that Therese now gets a “voucher” in which she can list a few people and if one ends up needing a kidney in the future, they will go to the top of the recipient list. A coworker of Thereses’ is on that list and will most likely be cashing in that “voucher” in the next few years. THAT, my friends, is an amazing act of kindness!
