NEW CLASS BEGINNING IN FEBRUARY

LaBlast® Chair

THURSDAYS AT 11:45AM AT THE TERRACE

LaBlast® Chair Fitness is based on ballroom dancing (no partner needed), includes all components of physical fitness and makes fitness accessible for all.

LaBlast® Chair Fitness is a dance fitness program for every “body” that inspires the mind and will make you feel good from the inside out. Inspired by “Dancing with the Stars,” this class is a perfect balance of dance and fitness.

During class, you’ll move to dances like the Jive, Salsa, Foxtrot, Paso Doble, Viennese Waltz and more, incorporating music from all artists, genres and eras. Based on interchangeable patterns and variations rather than choreography, learning is easier and more enjoyable. This “workout in disguise” engages the whole body – physically, mentally and emotionally – and gets people moving regardless of their fitness level, age, ability or dance experience.

Participants in LaBlast® Chair start it simple, build a solid foundation and advance over time, repeating patterns as needed before moving on. The LaBlast® motto is “if you can clap it, you can dance it™.” Even seated, you’ll engage the entire body while feeling safer and more comfortable.

Join us to learn the skill of dance while experiencing the physical aspects of exercise, all while seated.

LGA NEWS

LGA PLAYER OF THE YEAR FOR 2022 IS MISSIE KISKER!

All that have played golf with Missie agree that she is the most deserving of this honor. Participation in playdates, playing in tournaments, attending all socials, and achieving goals all added up to Missie being the right choice for this coveted award. Congratulations to Missie!

Saturday, December 10 was the very popular Par 3 Christmas tournament and party. We headed out on a beautiful morning to have fun playing a par three from very unconventional tee boxes (thanks to Kelly and Hank Cook!). We gathered in the beautifully decorated Wine Room after play for a delicious plated lunch, cocktails, prizes and an ornament exchange. Congratulations to all the winners!!

18 hole gross winner in the ringer tournament is Robin Roper 18 hole net winner in the ringer tournament is Karyn Haydock

9 hole gross winner in the ringer tournament is Missie Kisker 9 hole net winner in the ringer tournament is Patti Zoeller

All four ladies were among 20 participants that kept their scores from Apr to Oct playing against themselves to better their scores hole by hole. Congratulations to Robin, Karyn, Missie and Patti! We would like to say thank you to Troy Thompson and Chef Faye for all their help with our events! 2023 will start with a new board of officers for the BridgeMill Ladies Golf Association. Molly Maher, Jill Lain, Robin Roper, Missie Kisker and Karyn Haydock will work together to grow our Membership, increase interest in ladies golf and carry on the fun tournaments and game nights that we have enjoyed the past few years under the leadership of Kelly Cook, Vanessa Mullen, Stacy Propes and Molly Maher.

PAGE 22 | JANUARY 2023 BRIDGEMILLATHLETICCLUB.COM

Thanks to Vanessa Mullen and Denise Killeen, the BridgeMill ladies were invited to participate in the 1st inaugural GSGA Women’s Inter-club Competition. We had two teams that played private and public courses all over the area. BridgeMill was represented by two teams made up of 8 ladies each. The end of the Year Championship Match was held on Nov 14th and both of the BM teams qualified for the final round. BridgeMill team 2 (aka PINK team) won the Championship round with -6 under par. The ladies that brought home the trophy were Robin Roper, Joyce Gonzenbach, Kelly Cook & Amy Davidson. The rest of the team included Kim Ligon, Deedee Veres, Missie Kisker & Susan Moffa. CONGRATULATIONS!!

The below photos are just a small sampling of the fun and games we experienced in 2022! Come play some golf with us! To join our group or to share ideas to make ladies golf the best it can be, please contact one of our board of officers listed below…

CLUB FITTING Benefits of Club Fitting with JT Tackett and George Golf Performance

Better fit = better ball speed = longer shots with the least amount of applied effort.

We want to make golf easier for you! Having consistency throughout your bag and your equipment allows for more consistency in your swing. That’s what every golfer wants! Right? More consistency!

There are many reasons and benefits for getting fit for your golf clubs. And for each person it may be different. We all have preferences and we are not all alike. Whether we vary in our physiques or in the way we think and problem solve, the important thing is that you will have equipment that is specifically fit to you and will allow you to learn more efficiently, as well as play with more predictability and confidence of where your golf ball should go.

With up to date technologies like Trackman 4, Sam PuttLab and the latest equipment from many of the major manufacturers, we feel confident we can service all your fitting and custom equipment needs.

For more information on how we can help dial in your equipment or fit you for new product, we look forward to hearing from you.

The Board of Directors and Members of the BridgeMill Sixes Service League (BSSL) Wish You an Amazing New Year!

For 22 years, the BridgeMill Sixes Service League (BSSL), 501©3, has served the less fortunate of the Cherokee County community. These past two years have been a challenge, but the BSSL continued to raise funds to support women, children, and veterans in Cherokee County. Examples include the league's first-ever Pickleball Tournament and the popular Bunco for Charity. BSSL members and event participants enjoyed these fundraising events immensely. Charitable events like this raise awareness about the community's many needs and bring women together for a common cause.

The BSSL comprises women over twenty-one who live in BridgeMill and the local communities in Cherokee County, who raise money and support the needs of women, children, and veterans. In addition to providing community assistance, the BSSL also supports local businesses to help Cherokee County thrive and become a better place to live and work.

If you would like to learn how you can help the Cherokee County community through service with the BSSL, visit our website at www.bssl.org and LIKE us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/bridgemillsixesserviceleague.
