Follow us on Facebook and Twitter, this is where you can find all the up to date BridgeMill announcements. Welcome to 2022 and Bridgemill Golf News! We hope you had a wonderful new year and are planning to play more golf and enjoy all the facilities at BridgeMill throughout 2022. We have a full calendar of golf events for our golf members and even a few events for the general membership throughout the year. Our Couples Golf events will start back in April, and they are always a lot of fun. Please be on the lookout for the events in the newsletters. The ladies tournaments and play days start back in March, so if you are interested in becoming part of their Monday playdays, Wednesday playdays or their tournaments, contact the golf shop and we will get you plugged into all this great group of ladies. Those that are seniors and want to join in the fun with the men’s Tuesday/ Thursday play days, we can get you in contact with the gentlemen who put these all together. In the golf shop we should have new product coming in starting in February. Shoes, balls, gloves should be abundant then. Please call the shop for any tee time needs or the status of the golf course as far as frost is concerned. Be aware golf attire is needed to play golf and to practice on the driving range. That includes no denim and please have collared shirts. January 27th we have our fist demo day with Taylor Made golf company. If you are interested in being fit for clubs please reach out to the golf shop to get one of the slots. April 8th will be the second Taylormade Demo day. There will be Titleist and Callaway Demo days more towards the spring season. If you are looking to be fit for clubs and do not want to wait for a specific Demo day, call Georgia Golf Performance and get on the schedule with Justin Tackett as we have demo equipment for Titleist, Taylor Made, Callaway, and Ping. We are looking forward to a great year of golf and memories at the club. Get out and get involved this year!

TIPS FROM THE PROS AT GEORGIA GOLF PERFORMANCE
“You drive for show, but putt for dough”. Do you though? Bryson DeChambeau (2nd on the FedExCup standings) is only 60th on the list of strokes gained on the green but is 1st for the equivalent stat off the tee. And did you know Dustin Johnson (1st on the FedExCup standings) is 65th on his putting stat, while in the top 10 for strokes gained off the tee? They both get far enough off the tee to have a chance of hitting the green from wherever they finish off the tee. Their tee-to-green statistics are especially impressive.

Player of the year for 2021 is MISSIE KISKER!
All that have played golf with Missie agree that she is the most deserving of this honor. Participation is playdates, playing in tournaments, attending all socials, winning awards (breaking 100 then breaking 90) added up to put Missie as the winner of this coveted award. Congratulations, Missie! Saturday, December 11 was the very popular Par 3 Christmas tournament and party. 20 ladies started the day with a light breakfast hosted by the LGA committee. We headed out on a beautiful morning to have fun playing a par three from very unconventional tee boxes (thanks to Kelly and Hank Cook!). We gathered in the beautifully decorated Wine Room after play for a delicious plated lunch, cocktails, prizes and an ornament exchange. Congratulations to all the winners…Therese Powers, Miyako Fletcher, Kelly Cook, Stacy Propes, Briana Stop and Donna Hanson. See photos from the very festive event below… Girls Night Out will be in March go over our calendar for 2022.
