SMALL GROUP FITNESS CLASSES NEW CLASS CARDIO/STRENGTH CIRCUIT CLASS: Mondays 7:00pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:00am with Andrea This cardio/strength, small group class (limited to 4) done in the cardio weight room. It is performed in a circuit format that moves from cardio vascular machines to weight machines. The class is designed for all fitness levels to tone muscles and increase meta- bolic function for more calories burned over a longer period of time. YOUR HEALTHY LIFE! We ran a small pilot test of our “YOUR HEALTHY LIFE” health and wellness program during the most difficult time of the year to make health related changes, THE HOLIDAYS!! The program began November 11th, 2018 and completed with final fitness assessments on January 12th , 2019. During the 3- month program, participants set short and long- term goals. They engaged in weekly nutrition lessons, workouts at home and in the gym, tried new healthy recipes, learned behavior modification skills and practiced sleep and stress management strategies. These participants were highly motivated to change, proven by their ability to do so during a time when most gain an average of 5 pounds. We are so proud of them and their incredible results.. Here is what they have to say...

I’ve lost 8 pounds since the start of the program. I notice I am getting a more restful night’s sleep, and my body, especially my back is feeling much better overall. -- Mike P. Since late November I’ve lost 18 pounds. I used to feel hungry all the time but now I’ve learned that nuts and whole foods are more satisfying choices for snacks than the peanut butter crackers and chips I used to eat. I’m no longer hungry with 1 or 2 small snacks a day. The biggest change I’ve noticed is that I’m no longer sore after my workouts and have more consistent energy due to my new food choices. I look forward to comparing blood test results at my annual physical with my doctor. -- Bill B. I started an 8-week program in Nov 2018. Training under Andrea Mathis. Thru this program I gained a better understanding of how I relate to food and how even little adjustments and changes can provide huge differences. By the end of the 8-weeks, I had lost 12lbs! The best part is that I made a point not to deprive myself! I ate when I was hungry, but I noticed that I would go to Publix and grab a bag salad instead of running through a drive through for a quick meal. My daily schedule consists of taking care of kids, home, work, and going to church functions … I would typically need a nap in the middle of the day to allow me to have the energy I would need to complete my day. I have not needed a nap since Thanksgiving. I actually have energy to spare on most days. For Christmas this year, I was able to wear a dress that I was not even able to zip up last Christmas. GOLF ACADEMY NEWS Georgia Golf Performance is excited to announce their partnership with Club Physical Therapy and Canton PT & Sports Rehab!

Our new partnership will bring highly trained physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and personal trainers to the team. The Club PT team members are Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified, and they will be adding new medical and fitness components to the TPI Long-Term Athletic Development Junior Golf curriculum.

The Ladies Golf Association (LGA) has voted to change the way our club is organized. We will no longer have annual dues or a board of officers. We will have casual golf outings and tournaments.

The outings will normally be during the week when it is easier for us to play at BridgeMill.

The courts are in high demand.

Checking in ensures that you will not be bumped off the court in the middle a match because it was previously reserved. It also helps the staff know what courts are being used and who is on them.

The tennis courts are for Club members and their guests only. Accompanied guest fees are $10 per person. Athletic members and their guests are also required to pay the $10 per person court fee. Court fees should be paid before play.

Unaccompanied guests are not allowed to use the tennis courts.

BridgeMill Sixes Service League (BSSL) is gearing up for a great spring and summer of projects to give back to our community. Our January 17th meeting was a review of the charities we have helped in the past and we discussed a few ideas for the future. Bingo, bunco and painting classes were all fundraisers that provided an evening of entertainment AND generated money to help provide food, clothing and services for our school children.
