RULES AND SAFETY GUIDELINES Rules and Guidelines for this area include the Park Pavilion, open field, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and playground.

• Parks and Playground areas are private Club property Members & Accompanied Guests are welcome.

• Parks and Playground areas close at Dark.

• Members are responsible for their child’s safety at all times.

• Adult supervision is required for all children under 12.

• Pets are not permitted in any sand areas. All pets must remain on-leash while on BridgeMill property.

• No bikes, skateboards, skates, etc. permitted under the Pavilion.

• Do not use sidewalk chalk underneath the Park Pavilion.

• No food and beverage is allowed on the basketball and volleyball courts except in plastic sports bottles.

• Baseballs, softballs and bats are not permitted in the park/ playground area, including the open field.

• No profanity is allowed.

• No running up the slides.

• The infant swings are for small children assisted by an adult.

• No sitting, walking or standing on the horizontal ladders.

• Do not jump out of swings.

• Keep small children away from the large children swings.

• Do not throw sand.

• No sitting or climbing on top of the slide towers.

• No hanging on the basketball rims.

• Glass is not permitted.

• Scooters, bicycles, strollers, skateboards, skates, chairs, vehicles, or similar equipment are not permitted on the basketball courts.

• BridgeMill's Park and surrounding areas are smoke-free.

KID'S ACTIVITIES COMING IN SEPTEMBER THE KID’S FITNESS PROGRAM IS EXPANDING!!

Now your elementary or middle school aged child will have the opportunity to join our incredible weekly fitness program four days per week! Plus they can enjoy an additional Kid’s Fitness Nite Out each month beginning in October.

Like adults, kids need regular exercise. Regular exercise encourages healthy growth and development while helping to build stronger muscles, bones, joints and lungs. Besides the many health benefits, fit kid’s sleep better, have higher self-esteem, and are more ready to learn in school.

The Youth Fitness Program is Directed by Holly Williams, who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsbury University. After teaching in the public school system for a few years, her passion for health and fitness led her to pursue a career in fitness. Holly received her fitness and nutrition certification from Penn Foster Career School and has been personal training and teaching group exercise classes for ten years. She has since been led to follow her fitness passion as the Kid’s Fitness Director and offers classes for both elementary and middle school aged children.

She is CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association.

Holly has a passion for creating fun fitness classes to encourage kids to be active and experience the rewarding benefits of fitness. Both the elementary and middle school classes will help kids improve their strength, and cardiovascular fitness with age-appropriate activities while providing a safe and fun environment for them to exercise with their peers.

TRY TAI CHI Thursdays @ 10:30am beginning in September Tai chi is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches.

Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Tai Chi will improve leg strength, balance, and the body's ability to work as a unit. Tai Chi will also help to reduce pain and stress - both physical and mental, improve the immune and circulatory function, and provide you an overall feeling of wellness.

CIRCUIT TRAINING with Mark Hutton - Tuesdays 12pm in the Cardio/Weight Room. This 30 minute full body workout is performed in a circuit format that moves from cardiovascular machines to weight machines. It is designed for all fitness levels to tone muscles and increase meta-bolic function for more calories burned over a longer period of time.

CARDIO KICKBOXING Mondays 9:00am

A fun, energetic class that combines choreographed movements of punches, kicks and knee strikes set to the latest music. Expect a full body workout that engages every muscle group, torches calories, build s lean muscle and improves flexibility, balance and coordination.

FITNESS INFERNO Tuesdays 8:15am

This moderate to high intensity workout combines 3 rounds of 10 cardiovascular exercises with body weight and strength exercises to burn substantial calories, and strengthen all major muscle groups.

There are many different types of massage, Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, hot stone but have you ever heard of Thai Massage? How is Thai Massage different from other types of massage??

Unlike most massage modalities that utilize massage oils and require you to disrobe and climb under a sheet on a massage table, Thai massage is performed while you are fully clothed, usually on a padded mat on the floor. Instead of the relaxing gliding and kneading motions characteristic of more popular forms of massage, Thai massage employs stretching, pulling, and rocking techniques to relieve tension and enhance flexibility and range of motion. It is sometimes called the "lazy person's yoga."

The therapist uses his or her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches and also applies deep muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure Thai massage also utilizes energy work, which, according to ancient Asian culture, treats the subtle energetic field within the body. 2021 GEORGIA GOLF PERFORMANCE JUNIOR TOUR It’s been a great season so far for our Junior Tour! There are only 3 more events left of the 2021 season so don’t forget to sign up for our August Junior Tournament Event which will be held on Sunday, August 22 at BridgeMill.

Every month from March to October we host an event alternately at BridgeMill Athletic Club and Towne Lake Hills Golf Club. Juniors compete at special yardages that are based on their developmental age and skill set. All ages are welcome to participate in the tournaments.

ALTA LEAGUE DEADLINES The registration period for all Winter ALTA rosters begins September 21 and the deadline is October 16. This includes Mixed and Senior Mixed (45+) leagues. These leagues begin match play in January.

Players on BridgeMill league teams must be Tennis or Golf members in good standing.

EXCEL JUNIOR TENNIS ACADEMY The junior program at BridgeMill is designed to meet the needs of all our junior players starting at age 5 and up and recreational to advanced tournament players. The goal of our program is to instill a love for the game of tennis in our youth. We encourage and foster a healthy, active lifestyle that players carry with them throughout their lives. Our program is divided into categories based on ability and age. All programs focus on proper stroke development, footwork, fitness, strategy and mental toughness at an age and level appropriate manner. EXCEL FUTURE STARS DEVELOPMENT GROUPS 5-6 YEARS – This group is for our youngest juniors with little or no tennis experience. Our goal in the program is to help children learn and enjoy the game of tennis while improving their overall athletic skills. We focus on basic motor skills like throwing, catching, running and jumping but also learn fundamental racket skills.

7-10 YEARS – These classes are for juniors with little or no tennis experience. We focus on developing athletic skills, fundamental strokes and learning how to play points and keep score.

11-16 YEARS – This group is for players with little or no experience. Players will be taught every shot, how to score, how to play a match. This group is a great beginning for those aspiring to play on their high school teams and know what they are doing.
