PARK & PLAYGROUND RULES AND SAFETY GUIDELINES Rules and Guidelines for this area include the Park Pavilion, open field, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and playground.

• Parks and Playground areas are private Club property Members & Accompanied Guests are welcome.

• Parks and Playground areas close at Dark.

• Members are responsible for their child’s safety at all times.

• Adult supervision is required for all children under 12.

• Pets are not permitted in any sand areas. All pets must remain on-leash while on BridgeMill property.

• No bikes, skateboards, skates, etc. permitted under the Pavilion.

• Do not use sidewalk chalk underneath the Park Pavilion.

• No food and beverage is allowed on the basketball and volleyball courts except in plastic sports bottles.

• Baseballs, softballs and bats are not permitted in the park/playground area, including the open field.

• No profanity is allowed.

• No running up the slides.

• The infant swings are for small children assisted by an adult.

• No sitting, walking or standing on the horizontal ladders.

• Do not jump out of swings.

• Keep small children away from the large children swings.

• Do not throw sand.

• No sitting or climbing on top of the slide towers.

• No hanging on the basketball rims.

• Glass is not permitted.

• Scooters, bicycles, strollers, skateboards, skates, chairs, vehicles, or similar equipment are not permitted on the basketball courts.

• BridgeMill's Park and surrounding areas are smoke-free.

• All trash must be disposed of in proper containers.

Members interested in obtaining a 24-hour access card may do so by calling or coming to the Business Office (M-F/9-5) and signing up for one. Cards are issued on a weekly basis and we will alert you when your card is ready.

Members will be notified about the Rules & Regulations of this Program. One complimentary card per membership, $20 each additional card.

Focusing on your own breathing can have a significant impact on your well-being and stress levels, awakening your mind and body, while also lowering blood pressure and reducing anxiety.

Here are 7 big health reasons to take a deep breath...

This moderate intensity class combines low impact cardio and strength exercises with core and stretching for a fun total body workout. Suitable for all fitness levels.

FITNESS INFERNO: Tuesdays 8:15am

This moderate to high intensity workout combines 3 rounds of 10 cardiovascular exercises with body weight and strength exercises to burn substantial calories, and strengthen all major muscle groups.

BARRE/PILATES FUSION: Wednesdays 10:30am

This full body conditioning class combines the fundamental principles of both Barre and Pilates. Each class will work to balance all muscle groups’ strength and flexibility, with an emphasis on sculpting long, lean muscles while challenging the core with each movement. This low impact class is great for all ages and fitness levels.

LABLAST: Fridays 10:30am

LaBlast is a ballroom dance inspired dance fitness program created by Louis Von Amstel - former Dancing with the Stars pro and world champion. It is partner-free and accessible for all levels of participants. You can be a seasoned ballroom dancer or an absolute newbie.

H.I.I.T. BLAST: Wednesdays 9:15am

High intensity interval training helps you be more efficient in less time. Short bursts of intense exercise followed by short recovery breaks. Bodyweight exercises, plyometrics, and other training techniques maybe used.

AQUA FIT TEEN INDEPENDENT EXERCISE PROGRAM

Upon certification, Jennifer taught group classes at various Pilates studios in Orange County, as well as instructed private clients in a physical therapy clinic.

Jennifer discovered Pilates over 10 years ago as a way to add strength and flexibility to her regular fitness routine. Jennifer decided to follow her heart and become a Pilates teacher so that she could share the amazing benefits of Pilates with others.

She believes that no matter what one’s fitness level is, Pilates can most certainly benefit anyone who wants to move better in their own body.

Congratulations to Shane Jones and his guest Jacob Baker for winning the 2020 Men’s Member Guest. What a great event and a great finish right before the torrential downpour!

There were a lot of tight battles within the flights and the flight winners went into a shootout.

Mr. Baker hit to a tight pin on #9 to 4 feet and Mr. Jones sank the putt to give them the shootout win! We had perfect weather and a fantastic golf course to host the event. Cudos to Andy Robbins and his staff for such great conditions on the course.

GOLF NEWS PGA Junior League is well underway and BridgeMill has two teams this year. BridgeMill 1 has won one match and lost two while BridgeMill 2 has won both events they have played in. This is a great way to introduce juniors to the team competitive side of golf. Our juniors all seem to love the scramble format and playing other golf courses.

2020 GGP JUNIOR TOUR

Georgia Golf Performance Junior Tour allows our juniors to learn how to play and compete in tournaments in a safe, family-friendly environment. Each month we host an event at BridgeMill Athletic Club or Towne Lake Hills Golf Club. Juniors compete at yardages based on their age and skill set. All ages are welcome to participate in the tournaments.

ALTA LEAGUE DEADLINES

JUNIOR TENNIS PROGRAM The junior program at BridgeMill is designed to meet the needs of all our junior players starting at age 5, recreational to advanced tournament players. The goal of the program is to instill a love for the game of tennis in our youth. We encourage and foster a healthy, active lifestyle that players carry with them throughout their lives.

Our program is divided into categories based on ability and age. All programs focus on proper stroke development, footwork, fitness, strategy and mental toughness at an age and level appropriate manner. Contact the Tennis Shop for class schedule updates, available space and to sign up.

EXCEL FUTURE STARS SUMMER DEVELOPMENT GROUPS 5-6 years – This group is for our youngest juniors with little or no tennis experience. Our goal in the program is to help children learn and enjoy the game of tennis while improving their overall athletic skills. We focus on basic motor skills like throwing, catching, running, and jumping and also learn fundamental racket skills.

7-10 years – This group is for juniors with little or no tennis experience.

We focus on developing athletic skills, stroke fundamentals and learning how to play points and keep score.

11-16 years – This group is for players with little or no experience. Players will be taught every shot, how to keep score, how to play a match. This group is great for those aspiring to play on their high school teams and know what they are doing.

EXCEL SUMMER ACADEMY The Academy group is for intermediate to advanced players, ages 10 & up, who are committed to improving their game. This high energy group of players is striving to play tournaments, high school tennis or working to get a college scholarship. The Head Coach of the academy is Jennifer Pourchier who is also the Head Coach for the Reinhardt University tennis teams.

One unique benefit of this is that Academy players often get to hit and train with the college players! Players are divided by ability level and age.

Drills focus on proper stroke technique, footwork, fitness, strategy, and mental toughness. The group meets Monday and/or Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 pm. This program runs throughout the school year.

The registration period for all winter ALTA rosters begins September 21 and ends October 16. This includes Adult Mixed and Senior Mixed (45+). Both these leagues begin match play in January.

Players on BridgeMill league teams must be Tennis or Golf members in good standing.

Captains must get approval from the Tennis Department before submitting a roster to the league.

BALL RECYCLING Instead of launching your used or bad tennis balls out of the court please drop them off at the Pro Shop or leave them on the tray by the scorekeepers to be recycled. Old tennis balls have a multitude of uses after their tennis life has expired.

Teachers, boaters & dog lovers are always calling us for old tennis balls. Plus, tennis balls do not disintegrate into the ground so to be kind to the earth please help us recycle tennis balls.

IMPORTANT FRIENDLY REMINDER Please check in with the Pro Shop Attendant prior to play. The courts are in high demand so one person per court, whether from a team or individual reservation, should check in with the Pro Shop prior to their reserved court time to verify their court usage and pay any guest fees. The staff also will be able to let you know if there have been any changes to your court number at this time. The tennis courts are for BridgeMill Athletic Club members and their guests only.
