Users are responsible for their child’s safety at all times.

Adult supervision is required for all children under 12.

NO scooters, bicycles strollers etc etc permitted on basketball courts.

Do not use sidewalk chalk underneath the Park Pavilion.

America Red Cross Lifeguard training 2022

The purpose of the America Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. They will learn to provide care for breathing & cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illness until emergency medical service personnel take over.

Requirements for training: 15 yrs old by the end of the last class session. be able to PASS a pre-requisite skills evaluation

Pre-requisite skills evaluation includes:

1. Swim 300 yards continuously. Using freestyle, breaststroke, or a combination of both, demonstrating breath control & rhythmic breathing. Goggles are allowed. NO swimming on the back or side.

2. Tread water for 2 mins using only the legs. Hands are to be placed under the armpits.

3. Complete a timed event within 1min & 40 secs: Starting in the water, swim 20 yards, the face may be in or out of the water Surface dive feet or head first to a depth of 7 to 10 feet, to retrieve a 10 lb. object.

Holding the object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards on your back. You must hold the object with both hands, keeping your face at or near the surface.

Goggles are NOT permitted.

You can not swim the distance under water or exit the pool using the steps or ladder.

Additional information

You MUST attend all classes.

Participate and demonstrate competency in all skill sessions/ drills activities & scenarios.

Pass the final written exam with a minimum grade of 80%.

Due to the strenuous nature of the course, it is advised to check with your health care provider before participating.

This 30 minute full body workout in the Cardio/Weight Room is performed in a circuit format that moves from cardiovascular machines to weight machines. It is designed for all fitness levels to tone muscles and increase metabolic function for more calories burned over a longer period of time.

This fun, fast-paced workout is performed using 8 -10 stations that include cardio intensive, strength building, core stabilizing, balance and mobility exercises for a heart pumping, fat burning, body sculpting total body workout.

This full body conditioning class combines the fundamental principles of both Barre and Pilates.

Each class will work to balance all muscle groups’ strength and flexibility, with an emphasis on sculpting long, lean muscles while challenging the core with each movement. This low impact class is great for all ages and fitness levels.

• Teens 15-17 years of age are allowed in the Fitness Center during regular business hours ONLY (6am-10pm).

• Youths 11-14 years of age are allowed during regular business hours ONLY (6am-10pm) and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18.

• Only direct family members active on the membership and 15 years of age or older may utilize the same access card.

• Access cards are linked to the membership in order to track member usage and safety.

• Each member must swipe their own card.

• Door will lock after each entrance and exit.

• Members are not permitted to open the door for another person’s access into the Fitness Center.

• All members should be prepared to show their 24 hour access card at any time while in the Fitness Center.

• Members may bring up to (2) accompanied guests at any one time to the Fitness Center or Pickleball courts. Members must register the guest(s) on the clipboard provided at the front desk. Our Couples Golf events will start back on April 30th with the highly popular MARGARITA MADNESS event. Also in April is the Ladies Ryder Cup on April 24th in the afternoon. This will pit two ladies teams against each other in the Ryder cup formats. May the best team win!

The 2022 MGA Masters will continue our tradition of a Champions Dinner. We invite all past MGA Master Champions to attend and proudly wear their MGA Masters Green Jackets. The menu will be selected by the 2021 Gross Champion, Kyle Gray and the 2021 Net Champion, Hank Hannon. Fun, fellowship, old golf stories, and little champion roasting will be the highlight of the evening. And even though the event honors the past champions, it is open to all MGA Members.

ALTA LEAGUE DEADLINES The registration period for all Summer ALTA rosters begins March 22 and the deadline is April 12. This includes Adult Mixed Doubles, Senior (45+) Men & Women. These leagues begin match play in June. Players on BridgeMill league teams must be Tennis or Golf members in good standing. Captains must get approval from the Tennis Department before submitting a roster to the league. Posted in the Pro Shop is a list of players looking for teams and teams looking for players. ALTA MEN’S & SUNDAY WOMEN’S CITY FINALS BridgeMill will be hosting ALTA Men’s League City Finals on May 21 with a rain date of May 28. We are also hosting the Sunday Women’s League City Finals on May 22 with a rain date of May 29. We will have 4 different levels (levels TBD) playing at BridgeMill with matches starting at 9:00 am for both leagues. Matches should finish up by 2:00 pm. ALTA will be using 10 hard courts each day. EXCEL JUNIOR TENNIS ACADEMY The junior program at BridgeMill is designed to meet the needs of all our junior players starting at age 5 and up and recreational to advanced tournament players. The goal of our program is to instill a love for the game of tennis in our youth. We encourage and foster a healthy, active lifestyle that players carry with them throughout their lives. Our program is divided into categories based on ability and age. All programs focus on proper stroke development, footwork, fitness, strategy and mental toughness at an age and level appropriate manner. EXCEL FUTURE STARS DEVELOPMENT GROUPS 5-6 years – This group is for our youngest juniors with little or no tennis experience. Our goal in the program is to help children learn and enjoy the game of tennis while improving their overall athletic skills. We focus on basic motor skills like throwing, catching, running, and jumping but also learn fundamental racket skills.

7-10 years - These classes are for juniors with little or no tennis experience. We focus on developing athletic skills, fundamental strokes and learning how to play points and keep score.

EXCEL ACADEMY The Academy group is for players with some tennis experience to advanced players, ages & up, who are committed to improving their game. We also include 11–16-year-old beginner players in this group. This high energy group of players is striving to play tournaments, high school tennis or working to get a college scholarship. The Head Coach of the academy is Jennifer Pourchier who is also the Head Coach for the Reinhardt University tennis teams.

One unique benefit of this is that Academy players often get to hit and train with the college players! Players are divided by ability level and age. Drills focus on proper stroke technique, footwork, fitness, strategy, and mental toughness.

The group meets Monday and/or Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 pm. This program runs throughout the school year, but new players can be added anytime if space available.

EXCEL SUMMER TENNIS CAMPS Juniors drill, play games and train in a fun atmosphere for 5 hours a day, 4 days in a row. Campers cannot help but improve their tennis game and they have a chance to make new tennis friends. Players also have a chance to cool off in the BridgeMill pool. All levels are welcome. Groups are divided by age and ability. For juniors 7 – 17 years. Camp meets Mon -Thu from 9:30 am-2:30 pm.

Please help by checking in before play!! The tennis courts are for BridgeMill Athletic Club members and their guests only.

Accompanied guest fees are $10.00 per person. Athletic members and their guests are also required to pay the $10.00 per person court fee. Court fees should be paid before play. Unaccompanied guests are not allowed to use the tennis courts.
