Introducing the HLP Training Team Highly experienced in the world of learning & development, the HLP Training Team works closely with key industry professionals across a number of different lenders and providers to structure a range of relevant, informative and specially selected upskill sessions, designed to help advisers keep their knowledge up to date, and enabling them to become experts in their field. Alongside this, our Training Team runs a regular set of core courses for new members and refresher courses for existing members across a wide variety of topics including technology and protection, together with more specialised areas too for those members looking to grow knowledge in certain topics.
Meet the team: Becky Baker Heading up the Training Team, Becky has over twenty years’ experience in the industry, delivering training, business development and adviser supervision to a wide variety of businesses, from start-ups to established SME’s and everything in between. Alongside this, Becky has extensive skills in the areas of people management and Later Life Lending.
Steve Fallon HLP’s Protection Development Specialist, Steve joined the Network after a long career with Legal & General, bringing a wide variety of skills to guide and assist HLP members in all aspects of protection insurances.
Hannah Turner Technology expert Hannah has a vast array of experience in utilising a range of systems to support HLP members, including 360 Dotnet, Twenty7Tec and Solution Builder, and from her days working as part of the Partner Support Team at HLP, is well versed in assisting members with all their technological needs.
Rebecca Short Rebecca’s background in Compliance with HLP, alongside previous experience in retail banking and complaints management enables her to bring a diverse range of skills & experience to the Training team to benefit our members.
Ian Pratt Ian recently joined us bringing with him a wealth of industry experience after 30+ years working within numerous Life Assurance companies.

Our Courses Induction Training Course (ITC) Designed for all new members to HLPartnership, the course covers all aspects of the Network, to get you up to speed with all the functions of what is required as an HLP member, how you can access the key resources available to you and give a basic grounding in Compliance and systems processes. Administrator Induction Course Designed for new admins joining the network or new to a firm, this course covers regulation and network requirements along with financial crime and 360 systems training. Supervision Course A face-to-face course to support businesses with the supervision of trainees into their business. The process is designed to increase trainee engagement and retention and support their journey to Competent Adviser Status. A tailored Trainee Induction Course follows once the trainee joins their new AR. Later Life Lending (LLL) Induction Course Established for those looking for Later Life Lending permissions, following discussion with their Regional Compliance Manager. The course covers regulatory and network requirements, including expert external speakers focused on the Fact Find and the current market. Later Life Lending (LLL) Workshop Held every 6 months, these workshops are designed to understand the wider LLL market. An opportunity to hear from providers and experts in their field and open to all authorised advisers, as well as those that want to learn more about this exciting area of expertise. 360 Office Training This session focusses on 360 Office. We demo how to use the Reports to understand MI within the business, Performance Reports and using Campaign Manager to build email templates to send out to their client bank. There is the opportunity to ask questions as we go along and look at other requested features of 360 Office. The session is open to all and is mandatory for all new business principals.
