葛西亞是當代最傑出的演奏家之一，激情與柔情兼備， 有華彩有火花，實力非凡。是次來港，他將聯同音樂總 監葉詠詩演出伯恩斯坦震動心弦的《小夜曲》。樂曲創作 靈感來自柏拉圖《對話錄之饗宴篇》，以音樂論愛。此 外，樂團將演奏史達拉汶斯基著名的《火鳥》組曲，向 20世紀音樂巨人之逝世40周年致意。同時，樂團亦為香 港作曲家林蘭芝的《蓮》作世界首演，以蓮花的淨、 純、美為音樂會揭開序幕。
Violin superstar Laurent Korcia is a winner in every sense. Since winning the prestigious Paganini, Jacques Long-Thibaud and Zino Francescatti International Competitions in the late 1980s, the stylish Frenchman has become a favourite on the world's best concert stages and his passionate performances and recordings have won high praise from audiences and critics alike, who often compare him to legendary masters such as Grumiaux, Heifetz, Kreisler, Milstein and Ysaÿe.

“ Laurent le Magnifique ” will open Hong Kong Sinfonietta's new season with Bernstein’s Serenade (on his 1719 “Zahn” Stradivarius, a violin on loan by LVMH), a work based on Plato’s dialogue Symposium that examines the true nature of love. Also on the programme are Stravinsky’s masterpiece, The Firebird Suite and the world première of Hong Kong composer Lam Lan-chee’s Lotus, a work inspired by the virtues of the lotus flower.
