2011年的夏日，迎來了第12屆『香港舞蹈博覽』。今年的博覽，將展示“花飛滿苑香．舞博展新篇” 的新特色。在三場演出中，除了不同的舞蹈小品之外，還將有4個中型的舞劇或舞蹈詩，以全新的風格 展現於舞台。 此外，已加入本會為會員的台灣《明日之星舞蹈團》將帶來一個舞劇作品，為香港的觀眾帶來新的藝 術特色和感受。本人謹代表香港舞蹈總會熱烈歡迎台灣朋友的到來，同時對一直熱情參與的各舞蹈團 體，致以無限謝意。 多年來『香港舞蹈博覽』的成功舉辦，實有賴政府康樂及文化事務署、香港藝術發展局、中華文化藝 術基金會以及廣大觀眾和友好賢達的愛獲和支持。在此，本人謹向上述人士，送上我們衷心的感謝。 祝“香港舞蹈博覽2011”圓滿成功。

2011 marks the 12th anniversary of Hong Kong Dance Expo. A “Dance World of Splendid New Works” with four newly-created medium-scale dance dramas and poems as well as forty small dance works will be displayed in three nights. On behalf of the Hong Kong Dance Federation (HKDF), I would like to bid a cordial welcome to our new member, Taiwan’s Super Star Dance Troupe, who comes from Taiwan to perform a dance drama for us. I am sure that its new artistic style will make a pleasant impression on Hong Kong people. I, moreover, would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the HKDF group members who have thrown themselves positively into the function. My heartfelt thanks will also go to the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, Hong Kong Arts Development Council, the China Culture and Arts Foundation, our audience and loyal friends. Without their constant support and concern, Hong Kong Dance Expo would not have been held so smoothly all these years.

香港舞蹈總會 (1978)

簡介 舞總是一個非牟利舞蹈社團。1978年10月，由當年的政府康樂體育事務署協助成立，創會成員為界內舉足 輕重人士，以發揚舞蹈藝術、推動香港的舞蹈發展及促進文化交流為宗旨。現有的團體會員達185個 (活躍會員 127個)，個人會員及會友700餘人 (總會員人數超過15000人)。同時，舞總大力開拓本地舞蹈基層文化，屢獲 香港藝術發展局、民政事務總署、康樂及文化事務署及多個全港大型活動主辦者的經費資助、場地贊助或演出 委約。現為聯合國教育、科學和文化組織 (UNESCO) 轄下的《國際舞蹈委員會CID》會員。 教育及考試課程 成立以來，一直協助政府多個部門推動本港舞蹈發展工作，經常與政府及學術機構合辦舞蹈營、進修班、座談 會、研習班、教師培訓班等。曾與香港大學專業進修學院聯合主辦二年制《舞蹈証書及文憑》課程等，積極推 行舞蹈教育。設有評委組織，支援全港性及區域性的舞蹈比賽。 舞總一向以培養舞蹈人才為己任，積極為香港培訓各類舞蹈教師。1988年開始承辦北京舞蹈學院“中國舞等級 考試”，每年約5,000考生參與考試，現有教師梯隊約3000人次。2005年開始，舞總同時擔任“澳洲聯邦舞蹈 教師協會CSTD”的『香港及大中華地區』代表，全面推廣古典芭蕾、現代爵士、踢踏舞、劇場舞蹈、社交舞及 本年新課程 -《當代舞》的發展，本年參與考生人數約4000人。以上兩個考試由香港考試及評核局管理。 社會及交流活動 會員積極關心社會、協助智障及殘障人士參與舞蹈活動、爭取公平機會等，2010年開始，每年獲頒《同心展關 懷》嘉獎。 近年曾參與各大型活動包括：統籌10月1日政府酒會舞蹈表演至今；02及07年參與慶祝特區政府成立五及十周年 活動；08年，500多名演員更應邀參與奧運馬術比賽文藝表演共13場；07、09及11年的全港運動會開幕式； 09年參與『東亞運動會』大型開幕式等節目。 04年開始，每年與暑期青少年活動委員會聯合主辦『國際暑期青少年舞蹈交流營』。08年，6個紫荊盃優勝節目 獲廣州市文化局邀請，參加『珠三角文化交流計劃』演出及研討會，達到珠三角文化交流合作的目的，獲得好 評。2009年與廣州及香港本土藝術家聯合製作大型舞蹈詩《歲月•香江》，獻賀60周年國慶。2010年與各部門 及界內團體聯合主辦『香港舞蹈節2010』，積極製作《香港原創舞蹈精品》、《紫荊盃舞蹈大賽》、《紫荊盃 國際舞蹈邀請賽及優勝者演出》等共8場節目。 『香港舞蹈博覽』、『紫荊盃舞蹈大賽及大賞』及『袋鼠盃』建立本地及國際文化交流 每年組織大型跨團體、跨舞種之舞蹈匯演 -『香港舞蹈博覽』假香港大型劇場舉行，參加之團體每年約50餘隊， 演員約千多名。多個國家、地區隊伍包括國內多個省市舞蹈團體、日本、澳洲、捷克、加拿大和美國等地區曾 來港參加，積極進行文化交流。04年再辦『紫荊盃舞蹈大賽及大賞』大受歡迎，由是年開始，『博覽』與『紫 荊盃』每年交替舉行。2010年配合『香港舞蹈節』舉辦首屆『紫荊盃國際舞蹈邀請賽』，5個國家9個地區共 24個優秀舞蹈節目參加賽事，為『香港舞蹈節』凝聚了國際新元素，獲得本港及外地參與者一致好評。 『袋鼠盃舞蹈大賽』於06年開始舉辦，為單、雙、三人舞蹈設立表演平台，積極保育及拓展香港的多元舞蹈 文化。

The Federation launched a large-scale project to lay down the foundation for a local dance culture. Subsidies of outlays, sponsorship of venues and commission of performances have been offered by organizations such as the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, the Home Affairs Department, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Hong Kong major events. Presently, it is a member of the International Dance Council (CID), an umbrella organization within UNESCO for all kinds of dance.

Introduction: The Hong Kong Dance Federation is a non-profit organization established in 1978 and all founder members were acclaimed personages in the dance circle. It carries forward the art of dance, encouraging and expediting dance development in Hong Kong as well as promoting the cultural exchange. At present, the Federation boasts a total membership of 185 Group members (Active members 127) and more than 700 Individual and Associate members.

Education & Examinations Since its inception, the Federation has been entrusted with the task of developing dance in Hong Kong. The dance camps, updating classes, seminars, workshops and teachers’ training courses had been held with associated with government bodies and various education organizations. Since 2001, the “Certificate in Dance/Diploma in Dance” programme was jointly presented with the School of Professional and Continuing Education of the University of Hong Kong. An assessment panel is formed to support dance competitions in various districts.

The ‘Chinese Dance Graded Examination’ was introduced to Hong Kong in 1988. With the authorization from Beijing Dance Academy, the Federation worked on a complete and disciplined curriculum for Chinese Dance. In the past 20 years, more than 50,000 candidates have taken part in the examination and more than 3,000 teachers have joined the teachers’ training course. In 2005, the Federation also took up the role to become the representative of ‘The Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing’ (CSTD) examinations in Hong Kong and China. Through various examinations, Classical Ballet, modern Jazz, Tap, Theatrical, Modern & Latin American as well as the new syllabus – Contemporary Technique can be further developed in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority manage both of the Examination. The certificates issued by its Examination Board are comprehensively recognized.

Activities Its members cared the society by helping the mentally and disabled handicap people to participates in dance activities and striving for their fair opportunity. Since 2010, federation has been awarded "Caring Organization " praises.

The Federation has taken part at the important local events in recent years including the performances for celebrating the 10th Anniversary (2007) of the Establishment of HKSAR. Thirteen performances had been presented by 500 dancers at the equestrianism venue for the Olympic Games 2008. In 2009, more than 400 dancers had given their excellence performances with the theme of East Asia Games – “The Legend” at the Opening Ceremony of Hong Kong Games. Different theme of dance performances had also been presented to at the Opening Ceremony for the Hong Kong Games in 2007 and 2011.

From 2004, the “International Youth Summer Dance Camp” was held in Hong Kong every year. Six winners from the “Bauhinia Cup Dance Championship 08” were invited to perform in Guangzhou at the “Pearl River Triangle Cultural Exchange Project”. “As Time Goes By”, a large-scale dance poem was jointly presented by Hong Kong Dance Federation and Guangdong Province artists in 2009. In 2010, associated with 9 organizations, the “Hong Kong Dance Festival 2010” had been organized. The federation produced the "Hong Kong Original Dance Works Spectacle", "Bauhinia Cup Dance Championships", "Bauhinia Cup International Dance Invitation Championships and the Winners’ Performance" for the dance lovers.

The Hong Kong Dance Expo, Bauhinia Cup Dance Championship and the Kangaroo Cup Since 1996, the Federation has been organizing every year a large-scale “Dance Expo” in Hong Kong. There are over 50 dance groups and more than a thousand dancers from Hong Kong and overseas participating in this annual occasion. The “Dance Expo” and the “Bauhinia Cup Dance Championship” plus “Winners’ performance” has been held every alternate year since 2004. Five nationals and nine areas with 24 outstanding dance programs attended the "Bauhinia Cup International Dance Invitation Championships 2010” to display their feats for the international new elements.

The Kangaroo Cup, a dance platform has been organized for the solo, duet and trios since 2006. It helps to enhance the development of the Hong Kong's diversification dance culture.

It has been traveled to countries like Japan, Britain, Canada and Macau to perform as the representative of Hong Kong. Apart from it, the club also performs in different occasions such as the Lunar New Year Parade and a joint performance to celebrate the opening of the 1st Hong Kong Games.

Her choreographic creation “The Bride with White Hair” was awarded first in the Hong Kong Dancing competition and Canada Surrey Festival of dance competition; she was awarded the prize of the best choreographer and the prize of ‘Xiaohe Yuan Ding” in the National Xiaohe Elegant Demeanor Dance Competition. Starwave Junior Production aims at developing the art of children dancing. They have taken part in lots of competitions and obtained gold awards and choreography award as well. Their dances - [Praise of the flowers] and [the Korean drum dance] were awarded the Gold medals in the National Xiaohe Elegant Demeanor Dance Competition on 2009 & 2011.

Wong School Of Ballet 舞蹈名稱：La Esmeralda Name of Dance: La Esmeralda 舞蹈內容：此舞於1844年3月9日首次由倫敦女皇陛下劇院芭蕾舞劇 團演出，飾演埃斯梅拉達的是芭蕾舞女演員Carlotta Grisi。 今晚王仁曼芭蕾舞學校的高年級同學將為大家演出序舞、女獨舞、 男獨舞和最後一幕。 Dance Description: It was first presented by the Ballet of her Majesty’s Theatre, London on March 9, 1844 with the Ballerina Carlotta Grisi as Esmeralda.

屯門文藝協進會(屯門舞蹈團) Tuen Mun Arts Promotion Association (Tuen Mun Dance Troupe) 舞蹈名稱：傣寨月色 Name of Dance : Moonlight of Dai Village 舞蹈內容：傣族傳說，月亮是由一個英勇剛強的青年岩尖幻化而成 的。他升向天空發出柔和的月光，在黑暗中給傣寨帶來光明和希 望。夜幕低垂，傣寨女子齊集在月色下共舞，表示對岩尖的敬仰。 Dance Description: It is said that the moon was transformed from a brave young man Yanjian who rose to the sky and sent out soft moonlight, giving brightness and hope to Dai people in darkness.

Rainbow Ho is an experienced performer, competition judge and licensed teacher in Chinese dance, ballet, ballroom and Latin-American dance. She is a board-certified dance therapist and certified movement analyst. Rainbow received her dance training from different teachers and professional institutes including the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, New York University (Tisch school of dance), Starlight Dance Studio (London), Dance Therapy Institute (New York), and Laban/Bartenieff & Somatic Studies (LIMS Canada). She is now a professorate faculty in the University of Hong Kong. 舞蹈內容：舞說一隻因勇氣成就一場大戰役的小小信鴿…一片輕飄飄從天而降的羽毛，誰會想到過去，牠承 受如此重擔；那隻充滿堅毅勇敢的信鴿，是牠的高記憶力、飛翔能力、忠誠，成就了一場戰役；傳說中的牠 叫 [勇12]，科技的進步及虛擬的世界，讓勇12的故事為我們找回人類與萬物間共存共生的生命密碼吧！ Dance Description: Dance said the courage of a success in a big battle because the little pigeon ... , a floating feathers fall from the sky. Who would have thought in the past, which bear such a weight; bird pigeon filled with brave determination. Is its high memory; is its flying ability, or whether it's loyalty, the achievements of a battle; It is called the legendary [Yong 12], advances in technology and the virtual world, so for us the story of 12 brave back coexistence between human beings and the lives of all passwords! A group of wind fairy maidens are paying a visit. They dance beautifully in the bush, and all the busy bees, beetles and frogs are welcoming them with joy.

舞蹈內容：遠處傳來熱情的墨西哥音樂，一群墨西哥姑娘用那靈巧的 舞步和熱情的性格舞動起來，熱舞過後，一群以面紗撓臉的神秘阿拉 伯少女出場，邊舞邊為大眾祈求好運降臨。 Dance Description: Far off a group of Mexican girls dance fervently with nimble steps; then a group of mysterious Arabian girls with veils come out to dance and pray for good luck for the people.

Before being the principal of the school, Ms Wong was a graduate of the Beijing Academy of Dancing and a member of the Central Ballet of China with her expertise and experiences her students passed the RAD Examination with flying colours. She also trained several teachers to attain the teaching qualification from the RAD.
