新世紀的香港現代舞 文:曹誠淵

港的現代舞,萌生於

施素心敎授的分析

Professor Emerita Susan Street began her appointment as Dean of Dance at the

Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1999. Prior to that she was Head of Dance at the Academy of the Arts at the Queensland University of Technology. In 1999 she was awarded an Australian Dance Award for Services to Dance Education. Susan was Chair of the Dance Fund and a Council member for the Australia Council, the Australian Governments arts funding authority, from 1997

to 1999 and was the first Australian dance educator to be promoted to the title of

Professor. She was appointed as a Director for the Brisbane Arts and Environment Trust established by the Brisbane City Council and on the National Advisory Committee organizing the

National Symposium on Research in the Performing Arts. Susan has been an active teacher of ballet for the past 20 years teaching for many professional companies and schools around the world. From 1995 to 1998 she was a member of the Artistic Advisory Committee for the Choreographic Center based in Canberra. Susan is currently the Chairperson of the World Dance Alliance -Asia Pacific Dance Education

Association and on the governing board of the Hong Kong Ballet. Susan is a practicing artist having

created 15 new works over the past 10 years including works for the Queensland Theatre Company,

Lyric Opera Company of Queensland and more recently for the Odyssey Dance Theatre in Singapore.

created for the company last year. It was choreographed for a mixed ensemble of dancers clad in ocean-blue coloured
