DEL MAR DELIGHTS
The HITS Del Mar Horsepark has always been a unique facility, and HITS is proud to continue to enhance the property and overall horse show experience for horses and riders. A key focus in 2025 is making the horse show accessible and enjoyable to a wider range of exhibitors through facility enhancements as well as by broadening the scope of class offerings.
The HITS Del Mar Ocean Club will now be open seating for all guests, ensuring that horse show exhibitors, trainers, barn staff, and families all have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary hospitality events along with a perfect view of hunter, jumper, and equitation action. The Ocean Club will be a gathering place for the horse show community, and a center point for special activities and events, such as the derby day hat contest, dog agility exhibition, and more!
The reconfiguration of the ring layout and the addition of a third hunter arena will create better flow across the grounds and will allow HITS Del Mar to offer even more opportunities for the developing riders and horses, including hunter, jumper, and equitation classes sanctioned by The League, presented by Marshall & Sterling Insurance.
In addition to the premier hunter and jumper events, HITS Del Mar is proud to host the Adequan/USEF Junior Hunter National Championship – West on the grass field, and will be featuring the new Arion Sellier Equitation Championship in the covered arena in August. This highlight event will kick off finals season for junior athletes as they prepare for the championship classes ahead.
Of course, not to be missed is the hugely popular Dressage at HITS Del Mar Series, welcoming riders from across the country and around the globe. The series continues to be a key part of the U.S. Dressage competition calendar and a standout destination for exhibitors.

HITS Del Mar is thrilled to once again offer numerous elite hunter classes throughout the 2025 season, including the exciting new ClipMyHorse.tv Hunter Classic series.
There are six $5,000 ClipMyHorse.tv Hunter Classic Qualifiers this season, from which the top three finishers of each automatically advance to the $200,000 ClipMyHorse.tv Hunter Classic Final. They will join 2024 Finals winner Brian Feigus, who is pre-qualified for 2025, to contest for the top prize during HITS Championship week at HITS Hudson Valley later in September. Qualifying opportunities include three classes at HITS Ocala, one chance at HITS Del Mar, and two more at HITS Hudson Valley. HITS Chief Customer Officer Joe Norick described the new class as the “future of the 3’6” division” and “a new way to showcase hunters.”
The addition of this innovative series, unique to HITS, completes an already exciting lineup of hunter offerings at HITS Delmar, in cluding three World Champion Hunt er Rider (WCHR) weeks, three USHJA International Hunter Derbies, presented by Great American Insurance Group, 12 USHJA National Hunter Derbies, and three USHJA Pony Hunter Derbies.
The multiple top-level derby events, special hunter ring atmosphere, and quality of competition across all HITS venues has elevated the overall experience for hunter riders.

In 2024, Brian Feigus and Marita Zuraitis’s Four Aces, were repeat winners during the action-packed 2024 hunter season at HITS Ocala and won the inaugural $100,000 ClipMyHorse.tv Hunter Classic Final at HITS Hudson Valley in September.

EXCITING JUMPER HIGHLIGHTS AT HITS DEL MAR
HITS Del Mar will continue to host exciting jumper classes on its unique and highly coveted Grand Prix grass field in 2025.
Charlie Jones shared after his CSI2* Grand Prix win in August on Capitale 6: “It’s just absolutely unbelievable scenery around here. It’s an amazing area. The grass field is especially great, but all in all, it’s just a really super show.”
In addition to two weeks of FEI CSI2* show jumping competition and the variety of class offerings for juniors, amateurs, and professionals, some of HITS’s fan-favorite, weekly special jumper classes will make their way to the West Coast for the first time in 2025.
• HITS Del Mar will now offer the prestigious $25,000 1.40m Alliant Private Client Cup, which kicks off each weekend of high-level jumper competition.
• The popular $15,000 1.35m STX Open Speed Series has also been added to the weekly schedule. Along with generous prize money, STX sponsors a leading rider award. At the end of each circuit, the leading rider wins an exclusive STX Tack Box, while the overall leader from all circuits is awarded a six month lease on an STX 2-horse Van.
• The $24,500 1.35m Horseflight Jumper Classic has become a Sunday morning staple at other HITS venues and now is available for exhibitors at HITS Del Mar.
After his win of the Great American Insurance Group CSI2* Grand Prix in August aboard Cool Quarz, Shawn Casady expressed: “I love being here in Del Mar. The grass field is phenomenal, and I think it’s one of the best show environments in the country as far as how unique it is.”

DURING THE DEL MAR NATIONAL DRESSAGE HORSE SHOW IN 2024

In addition to offering some of the most elite hunter/jumper horse shows in the country, HITS also manages dressage horse shows at several of its facilities including HITS Del Mar, HITS Hudson Valley, HITS Chicago, and new this year, HITS Culpeper, which garner similar prestige and attention.
The popular 2025 Dressage at HITS Del Mar series includes six weeks of competition, which spans from February through October. Featuring three weeks of international CDI action, the venue draws some of the sport’s top riders.
The HITS Del Mar Dressage Opener kicks off the excitement on February 13-16, featuring a CDI-W division, which offers riders valuable points toward qualification for the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final in Basel, Switzerland, in April 2025. The series also includes several FEI Grand Prix Freestyle test qualifying opportunities for the new US Equestrian Open Dressage Final. HITS Del Mar is one of just a handful of venues to have been selected as part of the qualifying process for the prestigious Final, which aims to showcase Olympic equestrian disciplines to a broader audience.
The top-notch HITS experience is for dressage and hunter/jumper exhibitors alike, illustrating the versatility of HITS venues and depth of HITS operations. After a standout performance during the 2025 HITS Del Mar Dressage Affaire, U.S. talent Anna Buffini won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle.

In addition to a new dressage offering in Culpeper in June, dressage shows run from May through August at HITS Chicago, culminating with the esteemed U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions in August, and May through September at HITS Hudson Valley, concluding with the prestigious Great American Insurance Group/United States Dressage Federation Region 8 Dressage Championships in September.
