7 pathways, 7 portraits, 7 perspectives With the purpose of empowering young people to become future leaders and access university through social, physical, and academic development, the idea arose to create a magazine, in which the members of the L.A.C.E program could become journalists and photographers. This is how Creative Minds was born. The community can now understand other points of view through the exclusive eyes of Greyson, Xavier, Eunice, Storm, Silvia, Christian and Daniel, who decided to project a deep look at nature in this first edition of a Photographic Magazine. Through this skill, students can become empowered by capturing photographs and writing stories. Currently, L.A.C.E. is made up of a group of 10 energetic and unique students from different Waterbury public schools. Together, they transform lives with their original thoughts and unimaginable skills in the arts and business.

THE GREATNESS OF NATURE Storm Jackson
Nature is powerful. A natural energizer. By connecting with it, it transforms our spirit. Its natural beauty strengthens our being. It transports us on a beautiful journey of peace and gives us incredible views surrounded by animals and plants.
2
DAY AND NIGHT CONTRAST Silvia Amaya
Just as during life different opinions are forged about our future, witnessing the color contrasts due to time change in a natural environment is an indescribable experience. It opens you to a world of opportunities. It is discovering that there are different perspectives depending on the eye of the beholder.

CASTLE ON A CLOUD Greyson Malachi
At the top of East Peak in Meriden, you can see Castle Craig Tower. It is a hidden treasure among the woodlands. From a distance you can notice a sea of evergreen that blankets the entire landscape. Not only can you breathe fresh air, but you can touch the refreshing water that falls from the house surrounded by stone walls. A sight to behold!

Interacting with nature is fascinating and even more so when it is DOUBLE. All elements are mixed: water, air, earth, animals, among others. In a pond we found white and wild ducks happily swimming during the fall and winter season. The contrast of the sunlight colors falling with the pond water, is reflected like a mirror.

DUCKS IN THE POND Christian Soler
When we came across a lake full of ducks, it was interesting to see how they swim in groups, always close to their mother. They make us fall in love with their beauty, their plumage, and their shorter necks. For this reason, participating in outdoor activities is good for our health. It gives us peace of mind and we can reflect in a relaxed atmosphere.

SIGHT AT DUSK Xavier Mann
L.A.C.E Magazine
Although it may seem like a scene from a horror movie, it is a spectacular sight at dusk in the middle of autumn. The orange leaves falling down on the dark path adds a touch of mystery to the image.

IN TUNE WITH THE ANIMAL SPIRIT Eunice Gallegos
The beauty in a special relationship with animals. The change in behavior is instantaneous. You talk to them, and you can think that they know and understand what you are saying to them. They give us trust and unconditional love.
