Living not far from where the Pilgrims settled on Plymouth Rock in

Orleans, Massachusetts, I like so many found myself desperately ill as my age ticked forward.

I had double pneumonia, long COVID, and an upper respiratory disorder.

Going from physician to physician, no help arrived. Antibiotics were prescribed and it appeared to me that every time I consumed these drugs I became worse in the long run.

I couldn't breathe. I felt alone and desperate, and so I went online reaching out for help.

Somehow, I gravitated to the Hippocrates Wellness website, and there was something about it that enticed me to sign up.

I didn't know much. A friend said Hippocrates started in Boston when I was just a young lady, so I thought, "What the heck?"

Got on the plane at Logan Airport and arrived in West Palm Beach.

From the minute I walked through the gate it felt as I was in a magic world, where positive people both on the team and in the guest population were contagious.

I began to hear stories about remarkable recoveries and how much people believed in this extraordinary program.

It was not new; it had been around for nearly seventy years.

As well-seasoned as it was through the hundreds of thousands of people they've worked with and did clinical research on, I was sure I was in the right place and boy, did that turn out to be true.

Pilar Rodero's Story Healing is a process and family affair My parents were courageous. They immigrated from Spain to Mexico, and now I am living in Mexico City.

At the turn of the 21st century, I was too large and burdened with my weight and poor lifestyle habits, and I was looking for a way out. One of my friends had been to Hippocrates and suggested that I visit because there is no place on earth that can help you regulate your body better than the Institute.

I arrived in 2003 and made a commitment to let go of all of the body burden that had stopped me from living a happy life.

I stayed a total of eight weeks. I couldn't get enough. This was a deep dive for me into an ocean that I had never experienced before. The food was new, the thought pattern was different, and the joy of the people that surrounded me and their transformation was contagious.

When I arrived back home, every single person from my family to casual friends couldn't believe all the loss of body fat. My skin was glowing, my hair had thickened, my eyes were bright, but most importantly, my spirit was renewed.

For the first time in my memory, I was living in a way I always dreamed of.

It was very difficult back then to find everything in the way of food that was required to maintain this lifestyle of excellence.

I did the best I could, but slowly, because people that surrounded me lived in traditional ways, I slipped.

I was a single mom with two sons at that point, and the stress became apparent. My go to best friend was sugar I got it in every possible way I could.

As time passed, I would go back periodically to Hippocrates, but then come back home and the spiral of deceptive thinking and poor dietary habits became normal.

My father passed away, my mother was living alone, and first my sister and I were diagnosed with cancer and then my mother.

She died from it, and I knew exactly what I had to do, since on many trips to Hippocrates I met people who had reversed advanced cancer and a plethora of other diseases.

It was in my colon ironically, the same type of cancer that Ann Wigmore contracted and reversed in the 1950s before she opened the doors of the Institute.

I ended up in the hospital not long ago, and of course, what they feed you there as they do globally - would make you sick if you weren't to begin with.

I was slowing down and getting sicker. It is amazing to think that in the very place that believes they are helping you, they are actually hurting you in the process.

All of the treatment protocols are identical to what you would find in Europe, Asia, or North America. It is about surgery, chemo, and radiation they sprinkle it now with immunotherapy.

This was all to no avail, so I got on a plane and came and spent two months in my home away from home.

I cannot tell you how good it was to feel, for the first time in years, that I was given health care that was actually healing.

From the treatment protocol of nuclear medicine, I developed neuropathy. This slipped away and became significantly less problematic than when I entered the Institute.

Needs less to say once again I dropped a few extra pounds and wanted to once again share this with my family members.

I brought my son, who had had a major accident not long ago, and the results he had were phenomenal.

A decade ago, I even advised my former husband to come.

Now, as I depart to go back home, I have a renewed sense of my own purpose and believe with a much easier availability of seeds, supplements, and everything else in my home country that will once and for all be the way that I live.

At two my mother died and my two siblings and I were left with my father. It was such a tragic loss for him, he couldn't handle it emotionally and ended up in a mental institution.

I was shipped off to my grandmother who was a busy decorator that had little to no maternal instinct but felt obligated to house me. As a child I had no supervision (Love). The apartment house that we lived in was the first trap on my several trap doors.

At six the doorman molested me for the first time, which became an ongoing event. After each assault he would hand me twenty five cents, and say don't talk nobody would believe you; so I adhered to his demand.

They finally thought I was out of control because I couldn't express my feelings and shipped me of to a home for emotionally disturbed children.

This was even more problematic since there were several children with trauma and what could only be called a college dormitory for kids.

s a young American woman, I was delighted to find myself living in Denmark for three years. It was a genuinely extraordinary experience to observe and live among a culture that had infinite respect for life and the way we live it.

Returning to the United States after several years and remembering what I observed with midwifery, I moved in this direction since what could be better than helping mothers create little miracles.

The biological assistance that I give when women are pregnant is that they consume a healthy, plant diet, ideally organic. Take food-based supplements like probiotics and algies.

This is what I've observed to help nourish the placenta, which is how the baby receives their nourishment during the gestation period.

The deliveries are always much easier and happy when the woman is nourished and the baby is whole.

Becoming an R.N. in the early days, this almost had to be done undercover. The system was attacking midwifes and even arresting us. It was a sad state of affairs.

More and more, I see women who had conventional births in hospitals clinical settings come to me and say they don't want that same experience again.

When interviewing, I was so delighted to sit with a woman that was massively competent and fully engaged and passionate in the process of birthing.

My children were delivered at home with midwifes, and I can say that I am always pleased that I had the knowledge and ability to deliver this way.
