We were so excited all three barns got logo on. All three of our barns (Kansas, South Dakota and Indiana) were selecte y, Caroline and Cyrus are Barn #30. With the painting of Cody & selected! We are Barn #17, Dustin, Jeana & Bayler are Barn #24 and Cody, Lindsa Those blessings were so fun to celebrate and enjoy!

Lindsay’s barn our grandson Cyrus was born one week prior to the painting. and mild, and then moved into spring with no rains for pond On the challenging side of the year we came out of winter in Kansas being open category of exceptional. Our family is strong supporters of the National Junior Angus Association and all the events they put on! Starting with Sharee attending the first ever NJAS to Cody and Jeana being active members of the NJAA and exhibitors at the NJAS along with Jeana serving as vice chairman of the NJAA Board.

We are excited for the next generation to take part in this organization when Bayler, Caroline and Cyrus start showing. Our family loves to exhibit cattle and take part in Angus cattle shows. We have firm belief though that we don’t raise show cattle, we just show our cattle! Shane Bedwell said it best when he said, “make a cow a show heifer not a show heifer a cow.” We have a family policy that these females have be able to ranch the rest of their life as mama cows after their 18 month show career is over.

For the FIRST TIME last year the American Angus Association offered Phenotype & Genotype show at the Eastern Regional. We were excited to see one of our customers Mia Hastings win her class with a heifer she purchased from us in last years sale. See we think the creation of this show was great for those of us who still make a living raising cows, selling bulls and enjoy showing cattle. We think it’s an important part of breeding good cattle to consider the phenotype and genetics of each animal and this show provides youth the opportunity to showcase cattle that excel in those areas.

We are excited to offer a NEW incentive program for both the owned show ring, and the Phenotype & Genotype show ring, for heifers purchased from us in one of our upcoming sales.
