noosa COUNTRY STYLE

Spring is upon us, and there is a certain vibrancy in the air, mirroring the momentum we have seen in the Noosa hinterland property market. With the season blooming, our passion and expertise in the local property landscape are reflected more than ever in the results we are achieving.
In the last six months, Hinternoosa’s sale volume has outpaced the hinterland market, at more than double the number of property sales than our nearest competitor. This dominance doesn’t just translate into impressive numbers; it means real-world advantages for our clients. By drawing an extensive pool of buyers to their properties, our clients can realise greater returns in less time. We have multiple recent success stories of taking over and reinvigorating listings that previously sat idle on the market. Through our targeted campaigns and unparalleled expertise, we have facilitated fantastic sales that enabled these clients to transition seamlessly into their next chapter. If you have been pondering a change, now might be the perfect time to experience the new-look Hinternoosa super team difference.
Complementing our sales achievements, our Property Management division is also setting benchmarks. We have leased more than double the number of properties in the hinterland compared to our closest competitor, minimising vacancy rates and optimising our clients’ investments.
In this edition, we are thrilled to share how our Hinternoosa team is gaining industry-wide recognition. We are honoured to be named finalists in four categories of the prestigious Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) Awards for Excellence. These awards salute the best of the best in the entire Queensland real estate industry. This accolade truly showcases the dedication and passion that every member of our team brings, ensuring the best results and an unparalleled experience for our valued clients.
For those with a penchant for the finer things in life, dive into our curated list of the region’s top wine bars. Some occasions call for beer, some celebrations demand champagne, and every now and then, you just need an amazing cocktail. But at the end of the day, you can never go wrong with a great glass of wine. So stop what you’re doing, and check out the best wine bars on the Sunshine Coast.
Hidden just behind Massimos Ice Creamery on Main Street, Sails Wine Bar stands out as one of the Sunshine Coast’s premier wine destinations where they serve 40 wines by the glass in their wine bar, including many premium wines using the Coravin preservation system. Ideal for a relaxed pre-night out drink, it’s so inviting that you might reconsider your evening plans. Their wine collection is expansive, considered one of Queensland’s best, making it the perfect place to treat your date to that special bottle of Grange you’ve been eyeing. Within its vault, under special lock, lie prestigious labels like Henschke, Penfolds Grange, Salon, Chateau Margaux, and a vintage range from Domaine Romanee Conti. Plus, for an exclusive touch, you can privately hire the space for your next gathering.
If you appreciate a nice glass of wine (or bottle), look no further than Noosaville’s Apero. Apero is all about celebrating the European tradition of catching up with a friend for an aperitif and a bite to eat. Their extensive, meticulously-curated, ten-page long wine list draws on wines from all over the world and is the perfect complement to any long chat and Mediterranean-inspired share dish. Just across the road from the Noosa River, stroll on into their Euro-chic bar, as Apero Wine Bar only accepts walk-ins.
Specialising in French and Italian drops, Atelier’s rare and premium wines are made to be shared. They utilise a Coravin preservation system, so you can enjoy the wine usually reserved for the upper echelons of society in 75 and 150ml pours—so no need to buy the bottle. Drop into their intimate and seriously gorgeous space in Noosa Heads,
complete with open wine shelves and a 16-seater French oak table for you and yours. Make a reservation here.
Just up the road from Atelier, you can find Theo’s Social Club. Taking strong French and Italian influence in both their food and drink menu and the streetside setting, Theo’s is an inspired bar with a unique lineup of wines. Inside, you can find a rotating reserve list, made up of low-intervention wines of tiny allocations. Score a streetside table and watch the sun set surrounded by fairy lights while you sip a fine wine and nibble on charcuterie or find a seat by the bar and immerse yourself in the hustle of the bar. You can’t go wrong at this stunning Noosa Heads wine bar.
250 Grammi
It would appear that Noosa is the home of all things wine. This up-vibe, authentic Italian restaurant is situated across from the Noosa River and is open until late—European style—so you can soak in those river views well into night. As the sun sets however, you may want to turn your attention to their wine list. Using the same preservation system as Atelier, 250 Grammi has wines on offer for any budget. Full of Australian and New Zealand wines as well as French and Italian reserves, their wine list is impressive. Oh, and while you’re being impressed, look at their antipasti menu, delicious.
There’s no wrong time to head to Miss Moneypenny’s for a glass of wine—after a tough day at work, late on a Friday night, or for a cheeky Sunday sesh, you’re guaranteed pumping tunes, an awesome wine list, and a buzzing atmosphere. There’s a huge range of wines by the glass and the bar menu will keep those hunger pangs at bay.

Here on the Sunshine Coast, we are lucky to have so many drop-dead gorgeous walks close to home. So go on—lace up your hiking boots and celebrate the incredibly beautiful place we live in. Here’s ten of the prettiest walks on and around the Sunshine Coast that you need to explore.
Our glorious pocket of paradise is blessed with numerous stunning walking trails—dotted with towering waterfalls and pristine creeks, and populated by precious wildlife and cool rainforests—there’s no doubt we live in one of the most beautiful spots in the world. Hiking is one of those weekend activities that makes you feel like you’ve achieved something come Monday. Of course, no hike is complete without taking way too many photos. There are so many postcard worthy photo opportunities along these trails.
Mt Tinbeerwah
Do you like the idea of bushwalking more than the actual practice of it? Do you start muttering to yourself “are we there yet?” before you’re even out of sight of the car park? Well, we have just the walk for you. You can drive almost all the way to the top of Mount Tinbeerwah, which itself is just a very civilized five minutes from top-notch coffee at Clandestino Roasters. Best of all, the actual walk is less than 300m long, and a nice easy climb to a viewing platform. Because you’re just out of range of the suburban lights, head out close to midnight, and you’re guaranteed a breathtaking view of the starry night sky.
Kondalilla Falls
Kondalilla, the Aboriginal term for “rushing water”, is just that. In fact, it’s 90 meters of rushing water plummeting into a gorgeous valley.
This stunning walking track leads from Kondalilla Falls down the escarpment into a lush rainforest valley, which is ripe with prime photo opportunities.
The extensive network of walks around Noosa National Park and over the headland is world-famous, so we’re sorry to say you almost definitely won’t have it to yourself. But when you see the amazing ocean views, or when you spot a koala napping in a tree, or even if a gorgeous carpet python slithers across your path, we promise you won’t notice anything else. There are dolphins galore if you make an early enough start, and during whale-watching season, we can practically guarantee you’ll see a whale. Start at the Noosa Heads national park carpark, following the coastal track to Alexandria Bay. Then, enjoy getting a bit of sand between your toes before hiking around the headland at the southern end of the beach, and then down the staircase to Sunshine Beach.
The Glass House Mountains are one of the most spectacular natural landmarks synonymous with the Sunshine Coast. There are a plethora of walking tracks that will lead you from open forests to lookouts with panoramic views of the mountains. The Glass House Mountains are sacred to the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara Peoples, with many ceremonial sites still preserved.

The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) will celebrate the state's standout real estate professionals at its 2023 Awards for Excellence this October.
Hinternoosa is honoured to be named as state finalists in four categories for this year’s REIQ Awards for Excellence. The new-look Hinternoosa formed earlier this year when Sirah and John Robb’s competing agencies, Wythes Real Estate and Hinternoosa, merged to form a united super team of the best real estate professionals in the region. This has seen their results, client experience and team experience go from strength to strength.
Ranked as the hinterland’s top selling and renting agency and taking a holistic approach to their service, incorporating innovation, community contribution, ongoing professional development and strong leadership, it is no surprise this team have been recognised as finalists in the Medium Residential Agency of the Year and Contribution to the Community Award categories.
Alisa Wythes has been named as an individual finalist in the Residential Salesperson of the Year category. Born and bred in Cooroy, Alisa has consistently been a top performer in the hinterland market. This year in particular, multiple record breaking sales and an ongoing commitment to going above and beyond for her clients has shone through.
Rebecca Ali-Mumtaz has been named as a finalist for Agency Support Person of the Year. With a diverse administration skillset that spans from agent support to marketing, Rebecca was nominated for her integral role in the Hinternoosa rebrand and merge this year. Her production of the Noosa Country Style magazine and dedication to the success of the team and business also supports her finalist announcement.
No strangers to achievements at this level, Sirah and John Robb lead the Wythes team to winning REIQ awards for Innovation in 2019 and Community Contribution in 2020.
Sirah Robb, now Director and Principal of Hinternoosa, commented on the current announcement, “Being named as finalists in four categories is well-deserved recognition for the incredible work our team is doing for our clients, our community and each other every day. Bringing competitors together to form an agency even greater than the sum of its individuals was always going to be a bold move. To see our vision play out so well and for the work every single team member put into making it successful being rewarded with these finalist announcements is just the icing on the cake. I love that the exceptional calibre of real estate professionals we have here in the hinterland are among the best in the entire state and can’t wait to celebrate with our team of superstars.”
Set for 28th October at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the REIQ Awards for Excellence gala is the most anticipated event in Queensland’s real estate scene, offering REIQ members a unique opportunity to come together and salute the industry’s best.
