Councillors

On 24 October 2020, the Hindmarsh Shire community elected its Council for a four-year term to provide leadership for the good governance of the municipal district and the local community. Due to insufficient nominations for the East Ward, a by-election was held on 4 December 2020. The municipality is divided into three wards, represented by two Councillors in each ward. The Councillors are the elected representatives of residents and ratepayers and have the responsibility for setting the strategic direction for the municipality, policy development, identifying service standards and monitoring performance across the organisation.
