Ensemble consists of jacket, skirt and bodice of red wool. The main seams of the ensemble are sewn by machine while the inside, finishing stitches are done by hand. Jacket has a fold-down collar, long sleeves and a double-breasted button closure. The a-line skirt repeats the closing on the jacket. The bodice has a v-neckline, cap sleeves and a silk panel, which extends below the waistline to tuck in. The bodice closes down the center back with a zip.

This ensemble is from Yves Saint Laurent’s first collection for Christian Dior.

Jacket, bodice and skirt of black and white herringbone fabric. The main seams of the ensemble are sewn by machine while the inside, finishing stitches are done by hand. Jacket has a notched collar with 3/4-length sleeves and a center front three-button closure. The sleeveless bodice has a wide scoop neckline and closes down the center front with five buttons. The flared skirt is high-waisted and is attached to a sleeveless black silk bodice.

This ensemble is from Yves Saint Laurent’s first collection for Christian Dior.

The ensemble consists of a dress, jacket, hat and two belts. The main items are made of cream raw silk. The dress has a stylized neckline ending with a point and bow at the center front. The dress has short sleeves with the fullness in the bodice and skirt controlled by numerous vertical darts that extend away from the waistline. The jacket has a wide collar and a center front button closure with a decorative self-fabric bow at the hem. There are two belts that come with this ensemble. The first is self fabric and the second is cream leather.

Christian Dior by Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture Dress and Shoes, Spring-Summer 1958 Worn by Dame Olivia de Havilland

Sleeveless a-line dress of embroidered flowers in an antique white, layered with embroidered pink flowers with petals that curl. The dress has no visible seams or darts, with all shaping created through the piecing together of the embroidred fabric. A majority of this dress was sewn by hand. The exterior of the dress is lined with two layers of silk tulle over an inner dress, which closes down the center back with a zip. The embroidered exterior closes down the center back with a series of small snaps. The matching shoes are made of a pale pink/cream satin and finished with a self-fabric rose over each toe.

The sleeveless bodice has a scoop neckline and closes down the center back with a zip. The dress is made with a high-waisted skirt of blue silk with vertical pleats and is attached to a sleeveless blue silk bodice. The dress closes down the center back with a zip.

Ensemble consists of dress, bodice, hat and belt in yellow wool. The main seams of the ensemble are sewn by machine while the inside, finishing stitches are done by hand. Bodice is made with a wide scoop neck, cap sleeves, a pocket over each hip and weights sewn into the hem. The dress is made with a heavily pleated skirt attached to a yellow silk bodice. The belt is made of a dark yellow suede. The hat is made of the same fabric as the bodice and skirt and has a curved brim.

Ensemble consists of jacket, dress, bodice, bag, hat and belt of peach raw silk. The main seams of the ensemble are sewn by machine while the inside, finishing stitches are done by hand. The jacket has a notched collar, 3/4 length sleeves and hangs open down the center front with no closures. The sleeveless bodice has a scoop neckline, gathers into a tight waistband and closes down the center back with a zip. The bodice comes with two separate belts, which attach to the bodice with snaps. One belt is plain and made of self-fabric, the second is heavily embroidered with beads, sequins and gold thread. The dress is made of an a-line skirt with a box pleat down center front and is attached to a peach silk sleeveless blouse. The dress closes down the center back with a zip.

The bag and hat are made of the same material as the ensemble. The bag is a clutch style with no handle and one main flap decorated with a flat bow. The hat is self-fabric shaped into a gathered and fitted cap with a bow at the center back and an inner wire in the hem.

Sleeveless dress of a green silk chiffon built over a green silk taffeta inner bodice. The main seams of the ensemble are sewn by machine while the inside, finishing stitches are done by hand. The dress is made of layers of silk chiffon sewn onto a layer of fine silk and close down the center back with a zip and silk satin belt. The inner bodice is heavily boned and closes with hook and eyes down the center back. The matching shoes are made of green silk satin and finished with a woven ‘buckle’ over each toe.

The a-line skirt has a pocket over each hip, is gathered into the waistline and closes down the center back with a zip. Both bodices are made of a cream wool knit with a crew neckline, short or cap sleeves and a center back zip. Bodice One is meant to be tucked into the skirt, while Bodice Two has a finished hem. The belt is made of grey wool. The hat is of cream velvet with a shallow brim.

The jacket has a fold down collar, long sleeves and a center front doublebreasted button closure. Over each side/hem of the jacket is a decorative section of panels. The blouse is made of green silk crepe underlined with cream silk and is cut with a fitted bodice and bias-cut neckline. The blouse closes down the center back with a zip. The a-line skirt has an off-center back zip. Green felt hat in 1920s clochestyle with asymmetrical brim.

The jacket has a fold down collar held in place with hand-tailoring, long sleeves and a center front button and belt closure. The a-line skirt closes with a zip. The blue silk blouse has long sleeves, a center front button closure and a neckline scarf that ties at the center front and secures to a central goldtone button.

Dress and Shoes, 1982 Dress designed by Paul Zastupnevitch, made by Western Costume Company in Los Angeles Worn by Olivia de Havilland for ‘The Night of a Hundred Stars II’ at the Radio City Hall in New York in 1985. Also worn for the White House State Dinner given by Ronald Reagan in honor of President François Mitterand on March 22, 1984.

Blue silk crepe dress made of multiple layers of the same material with a wide, sweeping hem and a single, see-through layer for the sleeves. A wide cape of the same blue crepe is stitched to the right and left shoulder and drapes open down the center back. The dress closes down the center back. A blue and clear rhinestone pin is stitched to the left shoulder and the dress comes with an extra blue and clear rhinestone pin and set of earrings. Matching blue satin shoes complete the ensemble.

The dress, pins and earrings are all unmarked/ unlabelled. The label on the shoes: Delman / New York / Paris / Rome. Shoe size: 6.5

Green silk crepe dress made of multiple layers of the same material with a wide, sweeping hem and a single, see-through layer for the sleeves. The draped fabric is gathered onto the left shoulder and finished with a goldtone and green and clear rhinestone pin. The shoes are made of green satin with a stiletto heel.

Shoes are without size label. Shoe length from toe to heel is 9.5”

The draped fabric is gathered onto the left shoulder and finished with purple satin flowers. The dress closes down the center back. The bag is made of a purple and black floral weave with a goldtone chain. The earclips are goldtone and faux pearl.
