417 A Group of Six Chinese Embroidered Textile Panels, the first a rectangular panel depicting two youths in a boat with ruyi scepter, a canopy and coins, on swirling waves with ruyi and beneath a canopy of peonies and ruyi clouds in couched silk threads, against a coral silk ground, with a rectangular panel depicting an official riding a qilin with an attendant bearing a fan and another bearing a flay, with prunus and peonies, on a coral silk ground with tasseled end, with a pair of sleeve bands, and three other embroidered silk panels. 429 A Blue Ground Kesi Formal Court Robe,

19TH CENTURY depicting nine five-claw dragons stitched in giltwrapped threads, with bats, ruyi clouds and the eight Buddhist emblems or bajixiang, centered with a canopy above a pendent plaque depicting a mountainous landscape, with dragon-headed carp above swirling laves and lishui stripe in shades of tan and gold, the waves and stripes continuing above the brown sleeves terminating in embroidered horsehoof cuffs. Height 49 1/2 inches.

430 A Blue Ground Silk Embroidered Dragon Robe,

19TH CENTURY having nine gilt paper-wrapped thread embroidered five-claw dragons, centered with pendants in Peking knot stitch, with couched silk bats, flames and ruyi clouds above couched silk auspicious emblems amongst crashing waves above lishui stripe, the bajixiang Buddhist emblems in Peking knot stitch, with black sleeves and horse-hoof cuffs.
