ARMY COMMUNITY SERVICE (ACS)

ARMY COMMUNITY SERVICE (ACS) Army Community Service (ACS) provides support programs, services, and various training and education to Soldiers, Families, Civilians, and Retirees stationed on Oahu. These programs include, but are not limited to, the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), Family Advocacy Program (FAP), New Parent Support Program (NPSP), and Army Volunteer Corps (AVC). Army Community Service also hosts seminars, workshops, and classes to help strengthen Army families, enhance resiliency and relationship skills, and improve quality of life.

FAMILY CHILD CARE FCC provides quality home-based care for children four weeks to twelve years old and is offered in government-owned and government-leased housing located on post. FCC has unique qualities that make it a preferred choice for many families. FCC Providers are vetted, and only the best-qualified candidates are recommended for certification. It offers flexible hours: full day, part day, extended /overnight, weekend, and hourly care in a comfortable home setting.

PARENT CENTRAL SERVICES We’ve made registering your children for Child and Youth Services programs easy by giving you a central point to register for all of our programs. Your first step in requesting child care is to register for MCC.com. Contact PCS for your next step. We call it Parent Central, and it is located conveniently on Schofield Barracks in Building 1283 on Hewitt Street. At Parent Central, you will find information on babysitter referrals, child care, classes, sports, and special events.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER Our Child Development Centers (CDCs) provide a safe, caring environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and creative development. CDCs are on-post facilities that reduce stress on families and support workforce readiness by offering full-time, part-time, and hourly childcare service options for children six weeks to five years of age in nationally accredited environments. Fees are based on family income.

SCHOOL-AGE CENTERS School-Age Centers run a before and after-school program utilizing components of 4-H and Boys and Girls Club of America. School-Age Centers provide a safe, inviting, and fun atmosphere that inspires good character, self-growth, and a love of learning. Activity choices include a homework center, computer lab, outdoor and indoor games, music and dance, arts and crafts, physical fitness and sports, and various nationally recognized programs.

SKIES UNLIMITED SKIES Unlimited stands for “School of Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration, and Skills,” with the word “Unlimited” for the unlimited possibilities that this program provides children and youth. Children between the ages of two and eighteen who are registered with CYS Services are eligible to participate. There is a monthly enrollment fee for most classes offered by SKIES Unlimited. All classes will be filled on a first-paid basis.

YOUTH SPORTS AND FITNESS The Youth Sports and Fitness Program provides team and individual sports, as well as fitness and health programs. We provide programming for our Child Development Centers, School-Age, and Youth Programs. The program focuses on leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, skill building, increased self-esteem, and self-confidence. Ensure your family is registered with Parent Central Services. After registration is completed, you may enroll in the sport of your choice. Pre-registration is required for Sports and Fitness programs.

YOUTH CENTER The Youth Centers provide activities for youth typically in grades 6-12. Through formal partnerships with nationally-recognized youth-serving organizations such as 4-H and Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). Youth have access to programs, standardized curricula, special events, camps, scholarships, and more. Computer labs and homework assistance are also available at every Youth Center. The Youth Program is open after school, school closures, and summer. Specialty camps and trips are held throughout the year.

WALTER J. NAGORSKI GOLF COURSE Nestled in the foothills of Fort Shafter valley, Nagorski Golf Course is a 9-hole course open to those with access to Fort Shafter. With its chipping facility and practice greens, Nagorski is the perfect place for beginners to learn the game of golf and for seasoned players to keep their games honed. This course provides a challenge with its undulating fairways, dramatic elevation changes, small greens, and breathtaking views of downtown Honolulu and Diamond Head.

LEILEHUA GOLF COURSE Leilehua Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course nestled between Wheeler Army Airfield and Mililani Tech Park. With a sweeping view of the mountains, the course offers a driving range, practice facility, and a full-service restaurant and bar by 604 Club House. The Pro Shop offers an impressive selection of apparel, accessories, bags, balls, and other golf equipment to provide you with everything you need for a perfect day of golfing.

HANGAR ENTERTAINMENT CENTER The Hangar Entertainment Center is the ultimate spot for food, fun, and relaxation. Enjoy four lanes for bowling, cold beverages, pool tables, and big-screen TVs. We also offer a full menu with items such as burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and more. Join us for your next outing and celebrate events such as hails and farewells, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, change of command, or any other special occasions.

SCHOFIELD BOWLING CENTER Schofield Barracks Bowling Center boasts 46 lanes of open, cosmic, league, or tournament bowling and is equipped with automated scoring and automated bumpers on all lanes.

The bowling center offers group/party reservations, a snack bar, and virtual adventures

by Chambers Escape Games. The snack bar operates a full-service menu that includes breakfast and lunch with local favorites, including a daily lunch special.

FORT SHAFTER BOWLING CENTER Fort Shafter Bowling Center is a great location for fun, competition and community. Offering 22 high performance lanes with automatic scoring, locker rental, and free Wi-Fi. Come and visit the full-service snack bar for delicious food at great prices. We offer party packages for celebrations, private gatherings or team building events. Our Pro Shop features a variety of bowling supplies and private lessons keep you on top of your game.

You can also access online resources like eBooks, audiobooks, music and movie streaming services, foreign language help, test prep sites, and much more!

ARTS & CRAFTS The Arts & Crafts Center on Schofield Barracks offers various programs to enhance your creativity and technical skills. We also have a selection of ready-made gifts for farewell presentations or other occasions. Our professional services include custom framing, laser engraving, custom embroidery, personalized awards and gift, plaques, paint & take ceramics, pottery wheel throwing, adult and youth sewing, youth art workshops, FRG events, and more.

BETTER OPPORTUNITIES FOR SINGLE SOLDIERS (BOSS) The Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) program is a Family and MWR program for Single Soldiers. The BOSS Council organizes and conducts activities to support the overall quality of life for single and unaccompanied soldiers, such as trips to the beach, community service projects, and off-post entertainment. BOSS also provides an opportunity for soldiers to participate in and contribute to local communities.

TROPICS RECREATION CENTER Tropics Recreation Center is a high-energy facility designed to give you a place to relax and have a good time. Tropics offers a variety of events, tournaments, and entertainment to keep you coming back for more. Free room rentals during normal business hours. Minors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

OUTDOOR RECREATION CENTER Schofield Barracks Outdoor Recreation (ODR) Centers is your source for island adventure programs, recreational programs, and equipment checkout. Our trained instructors can take you on guided tours around the island, teach you how to stand-up paddle, rent you equipment for your next company function or birthday party, or provide advice on what to do and where all across Hawaii.

AUTO SKILLS CENTER The Schofield Barracks Auto Skills Center is a convenient, inexpensive and professional Automotive Shop open to installation ID card holders and their family members. Our professional services include long-term vehicle storage, RV/ Boat/ Jet Ski storage, storage shed rental, and a resale lot.

This gym also offers 24-hour access that gives you the option to get a late-night workout in.

LEE HEALTH & FITNESS CENTER (HFC) Lee Health & Fitness Center is the answer to all your fitness needs! This gym hosts a wide range of fitness equipment, including weight machines, free weights, cardio, and functional fitness equipment. LEE HFC aims to help you reach your fitness goals by offering scheduled fitness classes and personal training programs! Units can also reserve fitness classes for PT in the mornings. This gym also offers 24-hour access that gives you the option to get a late-night workout in.

WHEELER PHYSICAL FITNESS CENTER The Wheeler Physical Fitness Center is ideal for any athlete looking to improve agility, coordination, and enhance their training. This gym hosts a full-size basketball court, artificial turf, and competition kettlebells. The Matrix self-propelled performance treadmill and cardio equipment will give you the endurance to outrun any competition.

HMR PHYSICAL FITNESS CENTER This Fitness Center is a hidden gem on Helemano Military Reservation. You will find free weights up to 100 lbs., Nautilus equipment, and even a speed and heavy bag. Shoot some hoops on the basketball court and play ball in the racquetball room. After a challenging workout, relax in the sauna or cool off in the pool (Seasonal pool open from May through September). An elevator is also available to ensure everyone can meet their fitness goals here.

AMR PHYSICAL FITNESS CENTER The Aliamanu Military Reservation Physical Fitness Center is conveniently located between the recreation center and CDC in the AMR community center. This gym offers indoor basketball courts, a pool (Seasonal pool open from May through September), a cardio room, and a functional fitness area. The sauna can help detoxify your body and is unique to this location.

Though this location is small, there is no lack of equipment, ensuring you will get the most out of your training session.

TAMC PHYSICAL FITNESS CENTER The Tripler Army Medical Center Physical Fitness Center is perfect for a full-body workout! You will find a full-size basketball court, cardio, and weight rooms. Train your lower body with the glute ham developer (GHD). Take a dip in the pool and enjoy the incredible views while swimming. Vending machines are on site to refuel in a pinch. This fitness center offers 24-hour access to accommodate your health day or night.

INTRAMURAL SPORTS The Family and MWR Sports Office coordinates a wide variety of intramural, interservice, and All Army Sports Program leagues throughout the year. We also offer a number of special programs and tournaments.

RICHARDSON POOL Beat the Hawaiian heat by cooling off in the largest pool Family and MWR Hawaii has to offer.

Richardson Pool is open year-round, offering Active-Duty physical training hours, lap swim, and open swim sessions. Want to perfect your diving form? The pool has 3 diving boards and a diving platform. There is also a kiddie pool and water slide to keep the kids busy while you catch some sun rays. Lifeguards are on duty to ensure you and your family’s safety while you enjoy the pool.

Enjoy no room fees and complimentary A/V equipment Monday to Friday, 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Our elegant ballrooms, outdoor courtyard, scenic lanai, and cozy bar create the perfect setting. PILILAAU ARMY RECREATION CENTER (PARC) Pililaau Army Recreation Center (PARC), located on Pokai Bay, is one of the best beach facilities on the island. It captures the essence of “old Hawaii” of beach front property with studios, 2 & 3 bedrooms, and private cabins available to rent for a vacation or stay-cation. All cabins are newly renovated. Also available is the Bunkhouse which can accommodate larger groups. Dine ocean-front or enjoy Pau Hana by the sea at The Beach House by 604. Lodging Reservations may be made by phone up to 365 day in advance.

KILAUEA MILITARY CAMP (KMC) Located 4,000’ above sea level within Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park on the Island of Hawai`i. KMC offers accommodations within walking distance from the crater’s edge. Amenities include our Café, Bowling,fitness center, recreation lodge and coffee shop.

You’ll find easy access to the Volcano Winery, Golfing and historic trails. KMC is open to active duty military, veterans, retirees, National Guard, Reserves, DOD NAF & GS Civilians, and their families. Inquire about airport shuttle service.
