Hilton Cancun had the pleasure to host Syngenta’s team for a visit full of delicious food and experiences.

Nestled behind a mangrove preserve and set on 100 acres of Mayan coastline, our secluded resort features 12 dining experiences, including 5 specialty restaurants, a 68,000 sq. ft. indooroutdoor convention center, a health club, and spa offerings. Drink in ocean views from our suites, and spend sunny afternoons in our two pools. The airport and Cancun's Hotel Zone are within 20 minutes.

ALUXES: GUARDIANS OF THE JUNGLE

Aluxes are tiny mystical beings part of Mayan folklore and are believed to have existed for centuries. Often called goblins or elves, Aluxes are regarded as guardians of the jungle, they protect the land from invaders and third parties. Legend has it that their size is no more than 1 foot and even have the power to mimic animals and throw rocks at humans or prank them to scare them away.

Our visitors paid their respects to the Aluxes by being part of the “Wheel of Medicine” Ritual.

In Hilton Cancun, we understand the importance of certain vegetables for Syngenta, which is why we invited Susan and Kerry to Maxal Taquería to try some delicious tacos made with Brussels sprouts and cochinita pibil, served with handmade tortillas. And of course, a wonderful variety of salsas was a must as a side.
