Nestled behind a mangrove preserve and set on 100 acres of Mayan coastline, our secluded resort features 12 dining experiences, including 5 specialty restaurants, a 68,000 sq. ft. indooroutdoor convention center, a health club, and spa offerings. With a unique natural setting, our resort is ideal for gatherings of all sizes. Along with a divisible main ballroom and flexible junior ballroom, we have 12 meeting spaces that span two floors, plus outdoor lawns and terraces.
ALUXES: GUARDIANS OF THE JUNGLE
Aluxes are tiny mystical beings part of Mayan folklore and are believed to have existed for centuries Often called goblins or elves, Aluxes are regarded as guardians of the jungle, they protect the land from invaders and third parties Legend has it that their size is no more than 1 foot and even have the power to mimic animals and throw rocks at humans or prank them to scare them away
Our visitors paid their respects to the Aluxes by being part of the “Wheel of Medicine” Ritual
The Planisware team learn how to make tortillas during the “Make your own Taco activity” at Maxal Taquería and taste a very special cocktail made of an actual taco al pastor.
