Empowerment (Noun) The process of becoming stronger and more confident,
especially in controlling ones life and claiming ones rights. Empowerment stems from self respect, one must acquire empowerment themselves rather than have it given to them by an external party.
Exploitation (Noun) The portrayal of women in the mass media to
increase the appeal of media or a product to the detriment of, or without regard to the interests of the women portrayed or to women in general.​
