How did Rwanda's past history and current events lead to the mass killing of the Tutsis by Hutus?

Basic Info on Rwandan Genocide The Rwandan Genocide occurred in Rwanda from 7th of April, 1994 to 15th of July, 1994. The majority Hutu went on a killing spree of the minority Tutsi. This genocide the killing of many people. It turned neighbor against neighbor.

Background Info on the Rwandan Genocide

The Germans and the Belgians had control over Rwanda for a long time.

The Belgians had a lasting effect on Rwanda, maintaining the ruling Tutsi in power and making the Hutus second class citizens.

This would anger the Hutus and this anger would build over many decades. That anger would be released in the most horrific ways possible
