EARLY LEARNING COMMUNITY

What an amazing year we have had within our Early Learning Community. Our Pre Kindy and Kindy children have explored, investigated and engaged in many different areas of interest and learning within our Kindy curriculum. Within our play-based approach our Pre Kindy and Kindy children have looked at many different focus areas such as space, insects, marine life, sustainability, the human body, reptiles and the eco system. Our Pre Kindy and Kindy children embrace the opportunity to participate in learning experiences that are used to develop each child’s sense of inquiry, and exploration to further extend upon their own knowledge within each focus area. As part of our community engagement we have participated in Sweetheart Day, Jeans for Genes Day, National Pyjama Day, Red Nose Day, R U OK? Day and Day for Daniel to raise awareness and funds for these wonderful organisations. Our Kindy children have made beautiful connections with children within our Junior Learning Community through Mini Beast Day, Story Book dress up day and through the Year 3/4 Lumos gardening project within our Kindy garden. Our Kindy children have also enjoyed participating in our Junior Learning Community Anzac Day service, Cross Country and Sports day. Our Pre Kindy and Kindy children always enjoy the fun and physical activities that Mrs Karen implements each week at Future Champs and we also love learning new songs and discovering new instruments with Miss Tammy in our music lessons.

During Kindy Chapel, our children have enjoyed learning about the different stories of the Bible such as the story of Creation, how God is a God of miracles and how Jesus bought our freedom on the Cross. We thank all our Pre Kindy and Kindy children for an amazing, fun filled year and for being an integral part of our Early Learning Community family. It is such an honour to guide and nurture all our beautiful children in their God given gifts and to speak the truth of God’s love and grace into and over their lives. Thank you for partnering with us and I pray your family has been blessed throughout this year and through the start of your child’s learning journey at Hillcrest Christian College Kindy.
