Dream of something more Rady’s FlexMBA options offer working professionals convenient access to an outstanding educational experience. An immersion in innovation, the Rady MBA program is designed to give you the inspiration to envision the future and the knowledge and skills to make it happen.

Our faculty often talk about their appreciation of teaching FlexMBAs, who apply materials and concepts from classes immediately in their workplaces — and bring their experiences and results back to the classroom. We provide support that enables you to focus on learning and maximize your opportunities to interact with faculty, business leaders, experts and fellow students.

One Degree, Two Options Our flexible schedule allows you to choose from two convenient options. FlexWeekend takes place over 24 months, and classes are held every other Friday and Saturday. FlexEvening takes place over 30 months, with classes offered two evenings a week.

The Rady FlexMBA program helps you develop a thorough understanding of management and leadership in a global environment, and build on this with a curriculum focused on business realities and the critical needs of today’s organizations. With a strong commitment to leadership development and an emphasis on cutting-edge industry sectors, our FlexMBA program is both analytical and collaborative, with a curriculum that prepares you to be a leader in business.

The core curriculum gives you the tools to make the business decisions that innovation requires: to gather and analyze the best information possible, take risks, catalyze teams and make things happen. More than half of your FlexMBA education consists of electives, which means you have the flexibility to fine-tune the program to meet your goals.

The next garage to riches story could be yours What comes after innovation? Is your idea enough to drive a company? How do you get your product or service out of your head and into the marketplace?

For managers in established or emerging companies, the challenge lies in translating ideas into market success. Lab to Market (L2M) provides the skills you need. More than a single course or a simulated exercise, L2M is an experience in spotting new opportunities and taking discovery to market. You learn to generate and assess ideas, distinguish which are feasible and identify business models that translate opportunity into viable businesses.

Go fast alone or farther together Real learning isn’t linear and it isn’t easy. It’s about pushing yourself—and being pushed.

Collaboration sets learning in motion. Across your Rady experience, you join or form teams and work with colleagues on projects and assignments big and small. Make choices about projects based on your interests, and tailor your learning to meet your professional needs and goals. Project assignments are designed to ensure that you apply your new knowledge to real-world problems or situations.

Your classmates bring deep experience from a wide variety of industries and functions to each class discussion or project. They have lived, studied and worked around the globe, and have been involved in companies of all sizes and at all stages of development. Their expertise and experience is an asset for your learning and professional growth, creating opportunities for new or deeper learning.

The admissions committee reviews each application with the goal of getting to know you as an individual. We evaluate several key criteria through the application and further explore these in the admissions interview. Interviews are required for admission and are by invitation only.
