Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB Guitar Bridge Pickup

As a Guitarist, Luthier and Guitar tech, I came across the Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB pick up when my good friend Dave Ratliff called me up and told me about a guitar he has and it was not able to cut through the mix of his hard rock band (Product of Mortality). As we kept our conversation going Dave was asking me if there’s anyway to improve and customize his guitar? ( At this point I could sense his frustration about how he felt about his guitar), I said “of course there is!” so I explained to him that it’s possible that the stock guitar pick-up was the problem. After doing some research I came across the Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB bridge pick-up. This Guitar pick-up can growl at low volumes with a bluesy / Jazz tone and when you open it up with full gain it can scream. Dave agreed for me to drop this pick up into his guitar. Now it’s his go to guitar. Now he has no trouble cutting through the mix. I have always been a big fan of Seymour Duncan Pick-ups. Over the years the development team at Seymour Duncan Pick-ups have come a long way in their guitar pick-up technology. If you are a guitarist who plays Jazz, Blues, Rock or Metal this is the Pick-up for your guitar.

Likes: Likes and Dislikes

What I really like about Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB pick-up is that it’s able to make your guitar stand out when you want to cut through the mix as you play lead guitar. Also with the knowledge and the right tools installation is a breeze.

Dislikes:

I couldn’t find any dislikes for this pick-up however it would be nice to see this pick-up installed in higher end guitars as stock, Reach James Grover at: https://www.facebook.com/james.grover.311
