As a UK taxpayer, if you make your gift tax efficient it is worth even more to us and, if you are a higher rate taxpayer, will cost you less. This is my Gift Declaration:

I would like the High School of Dundee to reclaim tax (currently 25p in every £1) on all donations I have made in the last four years, and to treat this donation and all future donations I make from the date of this declaration until I notify them otherwise as Gift Aid donations. I understand that I must pay an amount of income tax and / or capital gains tax for each tax year which is at least equal to the tax reclaimed by the High School of Dundee and all charities and CASCs I donate to. If I pay income tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to me, I must include all my Gift Aid donations on my self-assessment tax return or ask HM revenue and Customs to adjust my tax code. I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
