Other colleges nickel-and-dime you at every turn. For example, at most colleges, freshmen aren’t allowed to bring a car to campus their first year, which is an inconvenience for them and their parents. For those that do allow it, this luxury comes with a steep price tag per semester for a parking space that may be located nowhere near the student’s housing or academic buildings. This is not the case at HPU. All freshmen are welcome to bring a car to campus at no additional cost. And that’s one singular example from a long list.
When factoring in HPU’s inclusive price, you’ll find that your out-of-pocket costs at HPU are very competitive with other private universities and out-of-state schools. At HPU, your educational investment covers all the following resources, plus more!

Parent of Two High Point University Students
Dear {{Last}} Family,
You are about to experience the most extraordinary four years that will truly transform not only your student but you as parents as well. At High Point University, the opportunities are endless for academic excellence, professional growth and personal development. I’m so excited for your family and a little envious, too.
It was just five years ago that my twin daughters, Lauren and Sloan, were admitted to HPU. After visiting 25 schools up and down the East Coast, this God, Family and Country school was in a class all its own! HPU not only welcomed my daughters “home” by immediately weaving them into the campus community but also embraced us as parents, too.
As parents, we were offered and encouraged to become active participants in the HPU experience. It began with HPU Move-In Weekend – an unmatched event! We attended every Family Weekend, which is offered two times per year and packed with amazing chances to hear from HPU President Dr. Nido Qubein, tour unparalleled academic buildings, attend concerts with major artists inside the Mariana and Nido Qubein Arena, eat in all the delicious dining facilities and more! I have worked for more than 30 years in corporate America for excellent companies, and the logistics, planning and content of HPU events are among the best I’ve ever experienced.
Most importantly, our children have the chance to experience it all. My daughters embraced every opportunity at HPU, and they’ve flourished as a result.
For example, Lauren connected with and had the chance to interview Domino’s CEO Russell Weiner at HPU – a priceless opportunity that built her confidence and pushed her outside her comfort zone. Sloan attended an on-campus dinner with Ed Hajim, an author and Wall Street executive with more than 50 years of investment experience, which directly resulted in her internship with Nantucket Golf Club. And both girls were part of an HPU externship program that took them to the 2023 Masters Tournament, where they networked and earned valuable experience.
Both of my daughters launched their careers at Georgia-Pacific, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of paper and pulp products, after having crossed the graduation stage at HPU last year.
The opportunities are endless and truly game-changing at HPU. Congratulations on your decision and this next chapter! Enjoy the journey. As we all know, it goes by far too quickly.
Welcome “home” to HPU!
Best,
Linda Strickler

“HPU instills positivity, gratitude, and respect, along with prioritizing God, family and country.”
– JOHN CAUDA Red Oak, Texas
“I’m always amazed at the quality of the campus and the setting. It can almost be overwhelming until you understand the values. Pushing the students to be extraordinary and live a life of significance demands an environment that creates high expectations. It’s so different from the world today where expectations are so low, and thinking can be so hopeless.”
– BRIAN RIPLEY Steamboat Spring, Colorado
“I feel extremely confident that the integrity and morals we value in our home will continue to be instilled in my son while at HPU, and that is comforting to know.”
– AIMEE HAMMOND Berlin, Maryland
“HPU unapologetically stands for God, family, and country and genuinely reflects these values. The president and staff exude respect, patriotism, faith, and virtue, and we are grateful our son could spend four years learning from them.”
– KAREN AND KEN RICHELSEN Minneapolis, Minnesota
“Families need to visit the campus. They need to meet the people to see and know that it is not just an advertisement or something that HPU says. As hard as it is to leave your kid, it helps knowing you’re sending them somewhere with the values, respect and education you have always tried to instill in them.”
– MISTY BERNABE Selma, North Carolina
“You need to intentionally seek out a place for your child that mirrors your beliefs. Yes, it’s their choice in the end, but guiding them to an institution that will serve them well and serve the country well is of paramount importance.
High Point University could not be a better fit for our family with their God, family and country approach to education.”
– LISA CONNOLLY Pittsford, New York
“HPU is an extension of our family. It is such a smooth transition because the values I have taught my daughter are the same values that HPU teaches.”
– JULIE GERRAUGHTY

I took part in the tuition-free master’s in Communication and Business Leadership. These programs will help you develop skills you never thought you needed. My top takeaway was learning how to collaborate efficiently with my fellow classmates. In the corporate world, this skill is vital. Being able to understand outside perspectives and adapt to group settings was a huge lesson I learned.”

“High Point University’s Master of Business Administration program was an essential part of my personal and professional growth. HPU held an unwavering standard of excellence that allowed me to think critically while providing the tools and skills I needed to be successful. Although a challenging program, High Point University has helped build the foundation of my professional career in my current role at NASCAR, and I am grateful for the relationships that I built during my time at HPU.
