Hosted each year by HPU’s Student Government Association (SGA) in remembrance of September 11, 2001, students climb or run 110 flights of stairs to honor the 110 stories of the World Trade Center, with SGA making a matching $20 donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation for every student who completes it. All students are invited to participate and no registration is needed.

Center for Community Engagement The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) helps students find ways to serve in the High Point community and beyond. Through the CCE, you can volunteer with local nonprofits, participate in service events, take Service Learning courses, apply for the Bonner Leader Program, or connect with the student-led Volunteer Center.

POINT ARCADE
The Monthly Student Events Calendar is your go-to guide for what’s happening at HPU, including movies, food trucks, arcade nights, athletics events, workshops, performances, major campus traditions, and MUCH more!
The Point Arcade, located on the lower level of the R.G. Wanek Center, gives students a fun place to play, hang out, and take a break. All students are invited to enjoy a variety of arcade games, including Mario Kart and Skee-Ball, billiards, table tennis, a giant interactive light wall, and an HD golf simulator.

WEEKLY FOOD TRUCK SERIES HPU’s Weekly Food Truck series brings local vendors to campus each week for a relaxed break between classes or evening programs. Complimentary to students and accompanied by a live DJ, each pop-up features different flavors, campus partners, and a chance to connect with other students outside the usual dining routine. PODELL CINEMA The Bertram L. Podell Extraordinaire Cinema, located on the lower level of the R.G. Wanek Center, shows weekly movies including new releases and box office hits. All showings are complimentary to students with a valid HPU Passport and include unlimited popcorn, candy, and soft drinks. Watch for ScreenPlay events throughout the year, where students can play moviethemed trivia and bingo from their phones during the film to win prizes! GLOBAL EDUCATION The Office of Global Education helps students explore study abroad, international student support, and global programs at HPU. First-year students can start planning early by meeting with a study abroad advisor, attending interest meetings, and learning about options like Global Experience, Maymester, summer, or semester programs. Students may be eligible to study abroad as early as the end of their first year, depending on the program and requirements. STUDENT EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM Did you know you can get a real job on campus while you’re a student at HPU? Each year, more than 1,200 students work in roughly 350 positions across campus, including offices, labs, recreation, Student Life, tutoring, Admissions, and more.
