"Ignite the WONDER" with the High Meadows Fund!

Page 1

Dear High Meadows Families and Friends, There is something undeniably magical about High Meadows School. It isn’t simply the beautiful campus and the care with which our children are educated, but also the tangible ethos of community, generosity, and partnership that is so evident here. This is the foundation upon which our school was built nearly 50 years ago and remains at the heart of the High Meadows experience today. We are proud to be parents of children growing up within this community, and we are honored to be reaching out to you to share more about how you can support our school and its mission. As we reflect on the powerful role that High Meadows has played in the lives of our respective families and the many ways it continues to help shape our children into kind, confident, and capable learners, the importance of contributing to the school’s success feels paramount to us and our families. The High Meadows Fund is an essential way that every family and friend of High Meadows can unite in our appreciation for the school and our shared commitment to support its mission now and into the future. As Co-Chairs of the High Meadows Fund, we ask that you please join with us in investing in this place that provides our children with the opportunity to grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially through experiences rooted in discovery and joy. This year’s theme, “Ignite the WONDER” reflects the impact your gift to the High Meadows Fund has on our community. Gifts to the Fund ensure High Meadows has the ability to offer the programs and learning opportunities that are distinctive to our school. It also underwrites other critical expenses that tuition dollars alone cannot cover. We feel confident in the strength of our community and the passion we can bring to helping High Meadows thrive. Thank you in advance for your support and partnership! Brandy Harvey Parent of Alec, 8th Grade

HIGH MEADOWS FUND CO-CHAIRS

What is the High Meadows Fund? The High Meadows Fund is the heart of our annual fundraising efforts. The Fund impacts all aspects of our program, providing resources and opportunities to our students, faculty, and community that would not otherwise be possible. Your gift allows us to keep curiosity and authentic educational experiences at our core, both in the classroom and beyond.

Why do we need the High Meadows Fund? Gifts to the High Meadows Fund help to support the operational cost of the school. Tuition alone does not cover all that it takes to provide a High Meadows education, and like most independent schools we count on the generosity of donors to supplement tuition revenue. The High Meadows Fund enables our teachers to acquire the tools and training needed to engage our students creatively; supports our commitment to the International Baccalaureate program; and allows us to maintain low student-to-teacher ratios. The Fund provides upgrades to our school’s facilities, barnyard, grounds, and technology — those crucial areas where our children explore, play, and learn. It also funds unforeseen expenses throughout the year, as well as special activities and new projects.

Participation is our goal. As a small school, we rely on the generosity of our community to help enrich the lives of our students. Every gift to the High Meadows Fund, no matter the size, makes a difference. Community-wide participation in the Fund brings us together with a common purpose and responsibility: to enhance the school’s educational resources and student experiences. Major donors and foundations prioritize giving to organizations with a high percentage of community giving. Contributions from families, faculty and staff, alumni, and grandparents demonstrate support of High Meadows School and allows us to grow stronger together.
